We won't. For your information most Western companies have left Russia 2 years ago, leaving billions in assets behind, which were confiscated by Russia. Those company-loses will not be compensated by Western governments. Such loses happened before (in 1917 and in 1945). History shows it will take the better part of half a century before investments will return and prior to that point very high return of investments in Russia will be demanded by all investors. Only China (if not to much occupied by their collapsing population) will be interested (in the natural resources). And given the hit the Russian population will suffer from this war, it is very doubtful that Russia will be able to hold on to all its territories,.. especially those close to China.
Concerning the probable confiscation of Russian bank-holdings in Europe..... Well, the Russian Central Bank already have to many zlotties, rupies, peso's and other such currencies who's value depends on the life expectancy of the local dictator. Not much choice next to the Euro... the US dollar, British pound,.. Swiss frank. But i agree,... dictators will retreat their holdings from Western banks,... especially in the months prior to an invasion of a neighboring country. Good to keep an eye on such movements.
