Not speaking up for myself, i too had that same problem and what i found out was the reason i would not speak up for myself as an adult is i didn’t like harsh conflict and because of that i would just not speak up. Seeing a therapist help me get pass that. It’s also stems from my childhood. As a child i was very opinionated and my dad would get on me about that. Also being my younger self and speaking up for myself in school, because i didn’t always agree on something or refused to do certain things i would lose friends. That created me slowly as i became an adult not speaking up for myself.

Maya I have been married and divorced and now I am married again. Take accountability for your actions, decisions, feelings and over all SELF and you’ll be good, put in the WORK. I ask people what do you want your EULOGY to say about YOU? I had to write my mom’s eulogy and she did😢not allow herself to Live, be Happy, find her Peace. I know because she passed at 56 with Cancer and her plan was to travel when she got out the Bed. She never got out the bed, I learned a LIFE LESSON. Book some trips and show your daughter to see the WORLD, Take a Road trip, visit some places she wants to go.

Some people CLEARLY need a lesson in BOUNDARIES! Wanting to know someone’s business and demanding to know are 2 very DIFFERENT things. We all have a right to change our minds about ANYTHING. I can choose to share details of my personal life today and based on any number of factors I can pivot and not say a word and not owe one person an explanation.
While I appreciate the openness here, I can hold space and grace for the other YT’er who chooses not to do so. Divorce is painful in words/ways you can’t even imagine depending on the circumstances. The fact that she’s still trying to show up 4 SHORT months after such a big life change should warrant support. Just my ✌🏾 cents

Creflo Dollar, and I concur, that you ask the hard questions #first before getting married. So that, while you write down the do's and don't of what each has addressed verbally ..you lock it down in a contract (a signed agreement) between just you two.. signifying that which "WE" (as a unit) don't want to break or go against. Because "WE" as a understanding couple, in which us two recognize, as a #covenant that you are entering into.. MARRIAGE IS FOR THE MATURE. 💕

I truly enjoyed this video. I feel like this is the most vulnerable and self aware you've ever been on a video. I'm not one to comment but I'm on a self healing journey myself. I just discovered that I have a dismissive avoidant attachment style. One thing I struggle with is a fear of intimacy and prefer to block people and keep it moving. One suggestion I would give that might help is taking a look at your attachment style. Some things you mentioned like fear of speaking up for yourself could be a result of an anxious attachment style. It mostly comes from a fear of abandonment. Try and research on it, It's mind opening. Best of luck on your journey.

I wish more women would stand together instead of being so quick to tear the next woman down…as women, we all know how hard life is already INDIVIDUALLY so to treat the next woman in a rude way, is sad. Moral of the story: SAVE THE RUDE COMMENTS & STOP WATCHING IF YOU HAVE THE SLIGHTEST NEGATIVE THING TO SAY. MAYA IS A HUMAN BEING SUBJECT TO MAKING HUMAN MISTAKES LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE…y’all do too much fr & have NO idea what battles folks be fighting OFFLINE.
Maya, you have my full support & respect. Keep on being who you are & growing in Christ. You don’t owe us anything so I’m grateful for the pieces of your life you do share…stay beautiful & true to yourself 🙏🏾💋.

This part. Even the bashing of the other individual involved. It’s just not productive. I definitely appreciate Maya’s approach.
People keep saying they are entitled to give opinions on the situation. I just don’t know how that translates to being nasty and judgmental.
I have so many friends navigating separations and divorces. Maya’s story unfortunately is very common. Lot of men bringing their representatives to the relationship and women having issues with boundary setting and standing up for themselves. It’s not an uncommon mistake to make.
I honestly hope men tap in so they can unpack why they aren’t showing up as their true selves and being better helpmates in relationships. I don’t think society is doing a particularly good job of preparing men for marriage either.
It’s a cautionary tale for a lot of folks.

Hi Maya, hope all well. I've been watching your journey for a while now and I'm very proud of your progress personally and in your business ventures.
I feel that we have a lot in common when it comes to morals and things that we like.
Ive never heard you speak about who your father is. At 48, my mom doesn't discuss my father with me. I don't know them and it seems like that is a part of my trauma with men that I used to date in my life. Let me know if you feel the same way.. thank you for always being transparent.

How come you never address calling your followers evil and the enemy when we said the same thing that you’re now saying? We were concerned that you brought a stranger to live w/your daughter and noticed other red flags and you either deleted our messages or was very shady in your responses.

I just had a whole conversation with my best friend and mom about how black people perpetuate the trauma bond that black men and women have with one another in and outside of romantic relationship based on how we are indoctrinated. I find it so fascinating how black women will often ignore the culture indoctrination we often experience and place EVERYTHING at the feet individual trauma.
If someone is with someone who pretends to have the same values, goals, and beliefs, the relationship will undoubtedly be adversarial and difficult to maintain regardless of how much one works on self.

    • @MayaGalore
      @MayaGalore  11 месяцев назад +1

I totally agree with this. If actually hit on a topic like this on my TikTok. I mentioned individual trauma but it doesn’t mean that’s ALL to be said. I’m just trying to us wisdom If you know what I mean. Thanks for that comment sis 🙌🏾🩷
