I think they said the reason why arcane took 9 years was because it was their first time and they learned allot im sure the next series will take half that so prob 4-5 years
Well season 2 started production right when season 1 ended 3 years ago and they already said their next show was in production before season 2 finished so i wouldn't be suprised it it was more like 1-2 years.
Considering Fortiche had already grown since Arcane, and not just in numbers but in their tech as well, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes them about 2 years tops to push out a new series. Then again, I heard or read somewhere that Fortiche wasn't gonna be the one to do the next series (don't quote me on that since I can't remember exactly when or where I got that from)... my only hope is that their next series will look as good, if not better, than Arcane because comparatively, any downgrade will be VERY noticeable.
The cool thing that Riot Games is doing is that, as they introduce new characters in their animated series and add them to the game, they managed to retain the same voice actresses. So both Ambessa and Mel are being voiced by the same VAs from Arcane, which is dope af. I could understand not being able to do this with the existing legacy Champions, but if Riot does this for newly introduced ones, moving forward, it will be a big W for the immersion and continuity aspect, especially for casuals who got introduced to the world via the shows.
And I love how, even for old Champions, they always ensure the show VA captures the same VIBE. Arcane Ekko FEELS like League Ekko, even though if I listen I can clearly hear the difference my brain buys in the moment 100%.
Shoutout to the chatter who said "nooo, they made Leblanc ugly." Like, seriously, imagine being so gooner-brained that changing a character design so she's not wearing lingere equates to making her ugly.
Especially with how incredibly attractive the new LB is. She just actually has some conceptual refinement and character, rather than just being "what if fantasy magician was a stripper"

VERY glad they finally got to redesigning her (and Vlad). Now there's only like 40 more Champs who look like they were modeled in 2009 (cause they were lol).

Aight 2 things. A) No way in HELL is anyone going to be able to convince me this is not a first teaser at the new "Arcane" (I'm sure itll be called something different). This trailer is too story driven and fleshed out to be just a League season trailer, so my bet is that the story is going to go from Arcane S02 > LoL Season this is for > and then wherever things are left from there will be where the new show picks up. B) To your point about the animation and art style, Arcane's art style was so impactful that its literally now referred to as "Fortiche" style and is seen as its own separate thing. That is absolutely one of the biggest flexes you could ever hope for as an artist.
Also C) Definitely dont mean this in any kinda way other than to just show the love but that VA for LeBlanc has a voice like velvet and I need her to narrate audiobooks in that voice lmao
Katarina went from "typical 'hot' redheaded character in videogame" (it improved significantly in many skins, but I am thinking of the Dawn cinematic, which was great in general, but...) to genuinely cute and attractive woman. It is not like I disliked her design, but just like with the rest of League, it feels sometimes outdated and done by people who had to do everything by themselves, and with the need to appeal to the average male gamer (that has changed significantly in the 15 years of league, which is a massively long time, specially in this space) However, when you get a team full of incredible artists more focused on creating character and style, you can see the difference. Then you go back to the League designs and they look a bit ridiculous. For example, Vi in League has always been one of my favourite characters, but I always liked her despite some clear flaws in the design. And when you compare her with her Arcane design, they are in two different Leagues (hehe).
I have to say that I experience the same with Darius. I think his design in this video is much more grounded and cool. In the videogame, he is overly exaggerated (and I understand why, i am not blaming anyone). But for the show, I like that the looks like a very tough man, not a caricature.
And the new Leblanc, same story. I actually like her design in the game as it fits her in a strange way. But the Arcane style one has so much more uniqueness and personality. I love the blackened fingers and the face.
Vladimir in the game is just ridiculous with the single spike in the hair, as if he were a McDonald's icecream. He was clearly designed to be "a standard vampire", with the clothing etc, and then they retconned him to be a blood mage, but the design then looked ridiculous. Now he will suffer of being compared to Astarion. But damn, that is a much, much, much better place to be. He looks so much better now and he actually sounds like he has a personality beyond blood related puns and word plays.
Reading Katarina's lore (especially with Garen) HELL YEAH she is adorable. She's a deadly assassin but completely forgets how to do her mission if her crush is around lmao
To the people who complain about it not being top lore accurate, id like to remind you that Darius actually broke his axe on trundle face lol yeah i dont think he will just bounce back from that lol

This is a young version of both characters. You could even make an Argument that Because of this Loss is what makes Trundle motivated to get stronger since that's what happened in lore especially when Lissandra motivated him that he will be the Troll King.
Trundle would had won if he wasn't so arrogant and went for a glory kill which give Darius a chance to clutch the win. I mean his club is op he disarm Darius weapon and if he kept using it it was easy win.
Still here is still the best cinematic rito has released. This one was ok, somewhere in the middle of them all, but the only real standout part to me was the trundle/darius fight. All the rest of it was a whole lotta nothing. Kat vs elise, the fight was boring. Mel did literally nothing at all and had no place in the video. The song was pretty mid too, hardly any hype built from it and the lyrics were incredibly cringey. Even the visuals werent up to their usual standards, but that one ill look past since it was probably intentional to have it in a more arcane style.
