Hello. I'd like to talk about number 7 for a moment if you can spare the time. About two years ago, I was having these throbbing powerful headaches. They we're so strong, so painful, that it was all I could do to not sleep the day away to try to avoid it. No matter what pain meds I took, I couldn't stop it. They just came and went when they pleased. Then a friend of mine introduced me to a guy he hangs out with to play Street Fighter with. He was a physical trainer. Told me to tell him what was up, and when I did, he told me I had "gamer posture". Told me how I sit and stand is putting too much pressure on my neck, which gave me the head pain. That dude more or less, saved my life. If it wasn't for him, I probably would have went to the hospital at some point and paid money for something that was a simple solution. So, do yourself a favor, and keep your back straight. It may seem annoying, but the alternative is far worse.
@@lulu_TheWitchBoy It is never too late, it was a figure of speach. Look up on RUclips, "proper posture" and start doing what they teach and your pain will naturally go away.
I do the bad posture thing, I lean forward a lot. Thankfully I don't do number six. To me, gaming is about fun. I'm thankful that as a kid I learned about gaming sportsmanship from Diddy Kong Racing. After all, they're a person with feelings just like me, so I shouldn't do to them what I wouldn't want them to do to me. But that's why I don't do online gaming much. I prefer to play by myself at night with the lights off, generally console games. I do the ammo hoarding thing too. I sort of do number 3 and I only game at night, mostly because I have a sleep disorder and playing games is preferable to flopping around in bed. I'll admit I've thrown a controller a few times, but if I break someone else's controller, I'd buy them a new one and add in an additional five bucks as an apology. I do the long gaming sessions thing at night, too. Not like that, but like 8 hours, even waiting until I HAVE to go to take a bathroom break. I hate how I'm genuinely tempted to soil myself and keep playing, but thankfully never done that.

Pro tip for pc players buy a 15 dollar lumbar support for your back. I used to have tail bone pain and lower back pain from poor posture but a cheap little support helps so much. You just need to remind yourself to keep your lowerback in contact with the padding and it helps so much
The last one is definitely me because I play minecraft for a few hours building something for a role play or I’m drawing some random art, my back and ass will hurt like hell so I’ll save whatever I’m doing then lay down on my bed for a little while to rest out the pain.
My gaming habits are playing with the lights off, almost exclusively at night, being completely silent, and hyperfocused to the point I'm not swallowing my spit, just breathing in and out of my mouth, just staring at the screen, pressing buttons on the controller, and drooling all over myself in the dark. I've been told I look creepy when I'm gaming. I hate when my saliva gets on my hands and the controller, makes it too slippery, so I try to "aim" it away from my hands. I've always been the kind of person who plays videogames by herself though since there aren't many to play with in this small town and I generally avoid online gaming communities because they attract the kinds of people who take all the fun out of gaming as you mentioned.
'gg' is a good think to write or say at the end of a match, 'ggez' is douchey and some games like Overwatch have banned it, also try not to be a dick, don't use overpowered items in games like COD or BF, otherwise you're literally begging people to hate your guts.
Most of this is good advice. 1. I know personally never to play a game before bed because I end being late for work. 2. I always take breaks and I never play a game for hours on end; the only time this will happen is when I'm really engrossed in the story or I'm making an obscene amount of progress. But I would never play marathon sessions, I don't have that endurance.
You said that about the spine thinge it helped me thanks brother it been 1 month and have a ps4 1st 5 days didt kwon but i saw your video i started set like that thanks again
My habit is holding in the pee that is making me sway back and fourth while I'm in the middle of a badass gamer moment. (Then run to the bathroom and do my biz real fast even if the game cant be paused.)
For those that think that posture doesn't matter all that much then consider this. I'm 34 years old and ruptured my L4 & L5 discs in my spine causing sciatica so bad that I haven't been able to walk properly in over 4 months and couldn't walk at all for the first month of the injury plus there's also lower back pain so terrible you cannot begin to imagine. So yes, it fucking matters.
I always try to sit straight as much as possible. I play mainly console so I’m sitting in a lounge chair so I’m quite comfortable. I can always lie down too if I want with the press of a button on the side. I live luxury. We can all agree that console gaming is much more comfortable than PC gaming. No mouse arm, you can hold your controller wherever you want, laidback position. I played PC alot back in the day and I was a foolish little kid so I developed a minor mouse arm and it’s nothing good. I had problems with my spine too a couple years ago. It’s not fun. Back pain is the worst pain because no matter what position you’re in, it always hurt because your weight is always on it. Players, word of advice - STRETCH! You may be surprised to hear that click in your spine.
@@Veroxzes Funny thing is that it is the polar opposite for me, xbox 360 was my last console before I switched to PC, I played on console for 27 years of my life from the NES to the 360 and throughout all of those years I'd be hunched right over with the controller in hand, using keyboard and mouse I find I normally have perfect posture. I can't really use key + mouse if I'm hunched over, plus I really don't have a choice but to stay up right at the moment since I'm gaming from a wheelchair with a lumbar roll against my back, still in the rehabilitation phase.
Im 25 and I already need physical therapy. I feel like I’m 50. It’s not just because of gaming, I had a bad posture at school, at home, in the bus, car ect... So yeah, posture is pretty important. It’s another bad habit most humans have, we never really care until something happens to us. Don’t wait until you get cancer to stop smoking and don’t wait until your spine is a cooked spaghetti to sit right.
Especially after going to the toilet, you should wash your hands anyway but covering the controller in crap isn't good for anyone, even if you're the only person who uses that controller. I live with some people who don't wash their hands even after wiping their ass so I keep all my things away from them and wash my hands often. Don't be like them.
I wouldn’t really say it’s a habit but I do tend to complete EVERY side mission, objective and collectible before continuing the story. It prevents me from keeping up with everyone else.
Personally, doing everything you possibly can before continuing the story puts you ahead of everyone else, I do it too, I enjoy games far more when the story can be done at my own pace.
Hmm. As far as bad habits go I either start up a game and get up constantly for food or just start up a game and realize I don't wanna play it anymore and just sit on my phone forgetting to the the game off
My gaming habits: -Bad Posture -Reloading after one shot -Putting the headsets mic in my mouth and chewing on it -Almost breaking things like my chair and controllers while playing -Crying and trying my hardest to hold myself together when the game disconnects
@@Mimsadoodle It's a shooting game of course and we all know that games that have guns are the games that we have the habit to shoot a bullet then reload constantly.
my worst habit is the fact that I don't have water or any other liquid next to me while playing a game. And I play games for 2 to 3 hours on average, so I have to get up, pause the game. And sprint to the fridge at top speed
additional habit: back seat gaming. many of us know someone, or knows someone who knows someone who does this kind of stuff. i have a brother that constantly tells me how to play games, including my own. this almost caused me to lose interest completely in a number of games, Skyrim and the first Fable game among them. and has lead to a few outbursts of anger aimed at said brother. (i've told him before to stop, and he doesn't listen because he seems to think he knows everything so he gets what he has coming. no cares to give about his feelings once that point has been reached) when i play a game, it is to relax and enjoy the work of art the gaming companies/developers make. and many games require quick reaction time, which includes quickly moving the analog sticks and rapidly pushing buttons. i move the analog sticks and push the buttons hard enough to get the characters and quick time events going, but not hard enough to outright break them. my brother thinks otherwise, and constantly nags me about it. i ignore it for the most part but there have been times where i've had to take a break from what i'm playing and go cool off, (because the back seat gaming has gone on for so long i now know what a volcano that's about to explose feels like) or i'm going to end up shutting his mouth for him. back seat gaming is a habit that needs to be nipped in the bud, before it becomes a health risk.
@rwsthedemonking I know, right? If a conversation between me and my brother reaches sentence three without an insult being thrown then one of us is going to think that the other is mad at them. I've spent my whole life fucking with my brother (I'd never let anyone else do that, of course.), now he's a foot and a half taller than me and basically a giant, and I'm still the only person in the world he doesn't think he can take. As it should be. Little brothers should know their place. Lol. For real, though, backseat gaming is a pain in the ass. That's why I don't play a lot of competitive games or mmos anymore, everyone's got a fuckin' opinion and has to share it if you're not doing exactly what you think they should.
Sorry I just can’t take noobs it physically hurts me seeing someone playing like an idiot on a game. Like never using certain features that are clearly needed. Like my friend on the Witcher 3 who is 10 hours in and still hasn’t made a potion.
emanBML I mean like when your friend is coming over and instead of coming with a ps4 controller he TROLLS you and comes with his big bros ps2 controller
My cousin always slouched in his chair when playing games and now he needs to have an operation on his back cuz his spine is curving. Not trying to scare anyone, he will be fine. But definitely work on your posture when gaming
I do that purposely just to make sure i always have a full mag lol. Nothing worse then lighting someone up and then you all of the sudden have to reload and die if there is no cover.
Funny that you mentioned posture first. I'm actually going to the chiropractor rn because my posture is complete garbage almost always, especially when gaming.
A year after I got my Xbox I told myself I need to start playing outside and playing sports and going biking and stuff with my friends again but by that time my friends all played Xbox a lot.
Same m8. I always try and fit time for the gym. My play time has been cut down by a good amount thanks to that, but I don't regret it. I feel great, look great, and can brag about being a healthy gamer boi
Get those x looking sports car zip belt and drill the ends to the back of the chair. Use it to keep straight. You can always also drill some crossed belts too.
The posture thing is for a few reasons. One is that we usually lean forward and put our elbows on our knees. Or if you’re at a pc lean forward to reach the keyboard
when I play an adventure game my brother hates watching me play because I always spend a really long time in one place because I like to explore my surroundings and experience all the beauty of the levels or worlds. everytime I run a game for the first time I always explore the main menu. especially the options. I wanna see what the game has before starting the game
Am I a sick person if I actually look forward to company meetings in different states because it means I get to binge play my PS Vita on the plane? Meh, then again I don't care. No regrets.
I hate it when I go to a friends house and I see that all his disks are spread out and scratched and not in their cases. It bugs the crap out of me. Take care of your games!

The last one is definitely me because I play minecraft for a few hours building something for a role play or I’m drawing some random art, my back and ass will hurt like hell so I’ll save whatever I’m doing then lay down on my bed for a little while to rest out the pain.

Love the videos . Since watching these I honestly started changing a lot of my habits
That thumbnail sent me into an instant panic!

Same, i think it's disgusting
It didn’t really bother me ‘cause, I admit, I have some bad gaming habits myself and that used to be one of them

How bout "gg"?
@@killzgaminghd3265 You sound 12
@@_Professor_Oak is that meant to be an insult or...
@@_Professor_Oak lol thats cool ...
Same, I always do this
And when you get to be about 35, you're going to have prostate cancer.
Literally doing that right now but I gotta finish decorating this bathroom at Croup Manor!

Sorry to hear that. How did you rupture your discs, if I may ask?
@@valenpro9512 Years or wear and tear and slouching, but what actually caused the rupture was working out with weights.
6:20 I feel called out. Now, if you'll excuse me I'm off to Diamond City. I only have 300 rounds left.
Playing until the birds start chirping
Always wash your hands before and after using a controller.
Huh i should start doing this
Especially after going to the toilet, you should wash your hands anyway but covering the controller in crap isn't good for anyone, even if you're the only person who uses that controller.
I live with some people who don't wash their hands even after wiping their ass so I keep all my things away from them and wash my hands often. Don't be like them.
Thanks ducky daddy
Oh yeah
That’s a good one. Mine is: always clean your controllers before company comes over.
I wouldn’t really say it’s a habit but I do tend to complete EVERY side mission, objective and collectible before continuing the story. It prevents me from keeping up with everyone else.
YES CONFESS MY BROTHER
I do that way too often.. Still haven't finished Red Dead 2 or Witcher 3 because of that!
I was about to type the same thing that "wendoven" posted about "red dead 2" and "the witcher" lol.
Personally, doing everything you possibly can before continuing the story puts you ahead of everyone else, I do it too, I enjoy games far more when the story can be done at my own pace.
Is there a name for this?like hoarder's?
Cause i definitely have this problem 😑
I get it falcon. Thanks for looking out and trying to get important information out there!
Hmm. As far as bad habits go I either start up a game and get up constantly for food or just start up a game and realize I don't wanna play it anymore and just sit on my phone forgetting to the the game off
My gaming habits:
-Bad Posture
-Reloading after one shot
-Putting the headsets mic in my mouth and chewing on it
-Almost breaking things like my chair and controllers while playing
-Crying and trying my hardest to hold myself together when the game disconnects
me too but its ALL NATURAL
OMG so i'm not alone. I think I have reloaded my gun in the division 2 more than I have actually fired bullets haha.
The reload one bullet thing is gonna be a really bad habit for me once I got my hands on Borderlands 3 when it comes out in September.
@@Jinx_1915 Why? I don't know much about that game
@@Mimsadoodle It's a shooting game of course and we all know that games that have guns are the games that we have the habit to shoot a bullet then reload constantly.
My habit is standing up when I’m playing
Braedan Viana same! I always sit down when I’m starting a game but somehow I end up standing by the end
I do that when I’m playing sports games
Me to. My friends think it's the weirdest thing.
That's a painfully weird habit
I do thay when im playing any game but somrtimes i get tired and sit and when im bout to win or clutch i stand up and forget im standing
8:41 I take care of all Consoles even if they’re mine
my worst habit is the fact that I don't have water or any other liquid next to me while playing a game. And I play games for 2 to 3 hours on average, so I have to get up, pause the game. And sprint to the fridge at top speed
No.1 is *ILLEGAL* I played once 28 hours straight on a pc.
My record is 3 days straight I'm not proud of this either 🙁
How could you be so entertained with a game, don't you get bored? The most I can play if 3 hours
Depends on the game I was addicted to wow at that time & I was 16 or 17 I don't game like that anymore lol

additional habit: back seat gaming. many of us know someone, or knows someone who knows someone who does this kind of stuff.
i have a brother that constantly tells me how to play games, including my own. this almost caused me to lose interest completely in a number of games, Skyrim and the first Fable game among them. and has lead to a few outbursts of anger aimed at said brother. (i've told him before to stop, and he doesn't listen because he seems to think he knows everything so he gets what he has coming. no cares to give about his feelings once that point has been reached)
when i play a game, it is to relax and enjoy the work of art the gaming companies/developers make. and many games require quick reaction time, which includes quickly moving the analog sticks and rapidly pushing buttons. i move the analog sticks and push the buttons hard enough to get the characters and quick time events going, but not hard enough to outright break them. my brother thinks otherwise, and constantly nags me about it.
i ignore it for the most part but there have been times where i've had to take a break from what i'm playing and go cool off, (because the back seat gaming has gone on for so long i now know what a volcano that's about to explose feels like) or i'm going to end up shutting his mouth for him.
back seat gaming is a habit that needs to be nipped in the bud, before it becomes a health risk.
The only people who like backseat gaming are backseat gamers themselves; frustrating is frustrating no matter how you split it
I think the true problem is your extreme overreactions...
Yeah, im guilty as hell. I've tried to stop, and keep my mouth shut when someone else play
When your friend comes with a ps2 controller and you are like:WHAT TEH HECK you are soonold bro

My cousin always slouched in his chair when playing games and now he needs to have an operation on his back cuz his spine is curving.
Not trying to scare anyone, he will be fine. But definitely work on your posture when gaming
*N O*
My worst two I have to work on are: button mashing, and eating garbage food because I'm too lazy to stop playing and get a real meal.
Reloading after EVERY SINGLE KILL, even if you still have 3/4 of your mag
@Charles Lee Ray switch your reload button to your jump button
I do that purposely just to make sure i always have a full mag lol. Nothing worse then lighting someone up and then you all of the sudden have to reload and die if there is no cover.
@@Straight_White_Fatherly_Figure you're speaking my language
Randomness gaming I have such a bad habit of that

Funny that you mentioned posture first. I'm actually going to the chiropractor rn because my posture is complete garbage almost always, especially when gaming.
