One of my all-time favourite VH songs, love the keys and (obviously) guitar work from Eddie and Michael Anthony is still an undisputed rhythm machine

I love these annotated bass covers Paul. I am not a VH fan but this was a cool one to play along with. I love that staccato synth feel to the bass line. Thanks for sharing this one.

    Not easy. Great playing!

Well played. If your an experienced finger player, you can play these 8th notes with two fingers and play it evenly which requires less stanima than play with one finger.
You can also play it staccato and control the note length with your plucking fingers instead of using the left hand, again requires less work.
Depends on your level but something to practice if you find it difficult. 👍

Seems the staccato makes anyone dance.

A couple of wild sections in there among all those staccato notes.

I like how you cover some of the more subtle gems of bass. There are a lot of great bass riffs that aren't very flashy and might even sound a little boring when played solo, but in the context of the song, the bass makes all the magic happen. And although some of these classic bass riffs might sound easy, there are often very specific nuances that make all the difference.
    Thank you

Great cover . I’ve listened to a few other covers and each is a little different but all are amazing and give us bass players more options to intertwine pieces together . Thanks you !!

I'm primarily a pick player. I don't have the stamina in my fret hand to staccato through the whole song. So I palm mute whenever I start to cramp up. I know it's not the same but it helps me get by until I build up my fret hand

      No acquiring for taste lol.

@@BNatoAk not sure what that means. But I’m just not into hair metal. Not sure why it’s funny.. taste is subjective. I’m more into music that has meaning and hair metal is all superficial and flashy not my thing.
