They also flood the countries with cheap food in order to drive the nation's farmers out of business thus making the countries dependent on food imports. Pure. Evil.
That's why certain (Western) nations are fighting so hard to end BRICS. There goes the exploitation on the world they enjoyed for centuries.

Well, BRICS does seem to make sense. A neutral exchange for trade, is logically fair, as opposed the American one that washes all trade through USD. I just hope that BRICS remains non-political.
Quite frankly the USA should negotiate a soft-landing for themselves and wean themselves off the dollar standard. It is inevitable that it is going to end. Fighting it is just going to make it worse.

I don't understand why countries should get a loan and then continue to spend as if there is no tomorrow? There has to be a way for them to repay the loans. Look at Pakistan. It gets 6-8 billion every 6 months. How is that even fair? Austerity measures are a must. However, most of the borrowed money is not spend on bread. Instead it goes to corrupt officials often worsening the financial burden. There ought to be a body of financial experts that figure out how the borrowed money is spent, in the interest of strengthening the economy of that country so that in the coming decade it can repay the loans. REFORMS are a must, else all is for nought 😢

The inequalities are because of Corruption and irresponsible spending. Example Pakistan where 60 % of the spending is for "defense" The country gets billions and goes on a buying spree for arms ammunition planes etc. And then they move the wealth abroad robbing the people and enriching the corrupt army and politicians. Why should other countries, who themselves struggle to improve their own economy, pay for irresponsible spending of other countries?? It is like giving an irresponsible teenager a credit card. Austerity measures are unfortunately, a precondition for any loan. Don't blame IMF if the politicians are corrupt. Let the people rise against the corruption and bring in new politicians who are fiscally responsible.

If you have a healthy economy, there is no need to borrow money from the IMF. If you have a mismanaged economy spending more than you are producing then you borrow money from the IMF to keep from sinking, you have to pay based on the lender's rules. That's the IMF. If you don't like it, don't borrow. And...the IMF base its lending process base on a country's credit worthiness. Stop crying and hating the IMF. If you were on the other side of the fence, you would have done the same thing, maybe you all would be a worse kind of lender.

People realize the impact Chinese funding of infrastructure projects in many African Countries and Asian countries. Ask Sri Lanka,
Rwanda, and Cambodia what they think of Chinese investment? Russia is just along for the ride along with India, China is the money man. Yes each country donated $1 to $2 billion to the BRICS slush fund, but even BRICS will need to initiate and enforce austerity measures no different than the IMF. It's easy to blame the World Bank and IMF but they have a purpose, and since 1945 the IMF, while not perfect, has been been an invaluable tool for developing third world countries. Economics of Developing Countries is complex and BRICS will never be the answer. If people want to blame the West for all the Worlds problems they need to study their history a little more.
