  • In this video, I head to the Bonneville dam for the annual shad fishing trip. I show how to know when is a good time to head down, and where to look it up. I provided preparation tips and what you need to try out this fishery. More preparation details can be found on my blog that is linked below. It was a humbling experience this year, since I expected another catch every cast like prior years when the counts are high.     Where did you get the whaly 500r in puget sound! I want one so bad im in victoria BC and cannot find a dealer in western Canada or North Western USA.

    Is shad fishing still good for beginning of July?

      I would check the counts to see, anything over 100k should be good.
