My late grandfather had the twin to that. I'm turning 63 on the 28th and back in early '70's I was riding that 360 all over Orange County, California and out in Quartzsite, Arizona. It had more power than i needed. Kickass bike, he also had to Honda 100's , a CL and a SL ,and a Honda 750-4. I was spoiled for sure. Thanks for the memories my friend.

My dad had a 72 360 all stripped down for "scrambling" plastic tank, and plastic fenders, handmade exp. chamber. I miss my dad, he's been gone 11 years and man it would be awesome to see that bike again, but not as awesome as it will be to see him again someday 🙇🏼♂️
Oh man I Love those old school Yamahas. This gave me a flashback to the Yamaha GT80 I used to have way back in the day. Think it was like a 77' or 78'. I want again just to have fun with on the trails.
Loved my DT 360 back in the day, but kept it at my Grandma's house so my parents wouldn't be worried that I was riding a motorcycle around on the street (desert and trails was ok). My brother used to hotwire it and go to the bars at night but crashed on the way home one time. He got a 502 in the hospital and my motorcycle's frame and swingarm was twisted. Then it just sat outside and rusted, too bad. Oh well, we had plenty of good times too.
Junior is genius level when it comes to 70s Yammy Enduros like the DT, my bros first real bike "not a frankenbike" was a tahiti blue DT100, we loved her even though she popped fork seals once a month😅❤️CHERRY 🍒 👍 🇬🇧 ❤️ 🇺🇸
As tidy as it is a stainless pipe repro would fit and suit lovely along with the worthy upgrades of alloy parts rather than chrome give her that pure lastability factor! Is a stunning little bike!
You often hear " Complete rebuild" on 2 stroke's i.e. piston&rings. But when the cases are split, it may as well be in a big cardboard crate straight from Japan🏆🔥🇯🇵

The all original black with red pinstripe 360 I have has badges instead of painted yamaha and the cap twists off just like the 70 at1 125 I also have. Is my bike earlier production? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I've owned at least 5 of these babies. The 360's always had a compression release in my day.

Love it! Had a dr 400 that I rode for transportation back in the day. Wish I kept it when she needed a rebuild! So many bikes I let slip away.
