Pile 3. I think my mom may be npd or a dark empath. She almost died in April, I had to break into her house, and call an ambulance. I was with her at the hospital, I did spiritual work on her while she was in ICU...inworked with her wounded child, some too. Once she regained some health, she was right back to her cold, critical, envious self. I made the mistake of allowing her to stay with me until her health improved. Currently struggling to get her back home. There is a peice of me struggling with guilt that if I send her back home, it will happen again, but I have to realize that much of what happened was her own choices. She's not elderly, she's mid 50s. She's rejected her own self care...and if she does it again it's not my responsibility ro save her. But that's so hard ro accept as both her daughter. And a light worker. Something about surrendering someone to their own free will, feels like I'm abandoning or giving up on her. But the truth is, im not. Sometimes love means surrendering someone to their choices. Even if it hurts.

There's also a forum on Quora for children of narcissistic mothers, you might find some of those posts helpful. I did. People who had loving parents really have no idea, so ignore their judgement. They don't know it's like being caged with a demon day and night. They don't know the autoimmune issues you are more likely to have, the depression, the CPTSD, the relationship and trust problems, the inner turmoil... So as your sister far away, I encourage you to protect yourself, please, and I celebrate the fact that you are choosing to honor your worth anyway. I honor you for your acting on your own behalf. Many narcissists also have a comorbid personality disorder like sadism, enjoying being cruel and making people suffer. But all narcissists seem to have a cruel streak, in my book. It looks pretty deliberate. You shouldn't be subjected to that, ever. And they can have borderline personality disorder; such parents sadly often can't see you as a separate person at all - they can be very codependent and/or even see you as a robotic arm to serve them - they are enraged and confused when you don't behave as such. Narcissistic folks can also have comorbid addictions, adding even more misery and chaos to the household. You deserve a life; and not just that, a happy and peaceful life. Yes, her choices are her choices. Her responsibility. Things I have seen work if repeated firmly and often over a period of years, just to set boundaries... you might consider trying them IF you feel called to. You can repeatedly tell her you don't want her to fall into helpless victim consciousness, because it disempowers her. That's honest and valid. You can also explain what codependency is, and how it isn't healthy for either of you. Maybe give her Melody Beaty's book on it. And tell her you need her to be strong and manage her life, for your sake. Suggest you are worried about her unhappiness; you are, she is very unhappy inwardly. Fixing that, however, is above an untrained person's pay grade - she needs a professional. Emphasize that you want to help but lack the training, so you cannot fill that role. She needs to see a therapist so she can function better, be happier. She won't want to hear it, but it's the sanest suggestion for you both. Healthy adults look out for their own needs. Tell her for her sake and your sake you need her to be a responsible adult who creates a life for herself, even if she's feeling down. You might also suggest (repeatedly, possibly for years, as they seldom listen or remember what is said to them) that she join a hobby club, a bird watchers group, a book club, hiking group, neighborhood cleanup committee, political group, animal rescue organization, bridge team, church, meditation group. Make a list of these and keep reading it into the phone every time she calls to harass you. Repeat it until she is forced to hear you. After decades of pushing you to parent them, sometimes these mothers actually can grow and take responsibility for their lives like other adults do. You might even suggest she find a paid helper if she needs one. But please don't take responsibility for finding her one, make her take responsibility for her life. She won't like anyone you find anyway. And you know you probably must set a deadline for her moving out. Repeat kindly but firmly that you simply can't keep her there. You just can't. With such folks, no reasoning will avail in pushing them out of the nest; you'll need to give her a deadline and stick to it. She may even fake a fall to play helpless, or try to bribe you with a big gift - but you know the drill. Please just ignore her guilt trip manipulation, she's not a helpless old lady; in actuality she's emotionally two years old and trying to avoid adulthood. She's trying to parentify you because (frankly) it takes less effort. Using and abusing you is easier than doing any of the things above. She wants make YOU be her parent (talk about role reversal!). Repeatedly remind her you believe in her and her ability to manage her life, insisting you don't want her to fall into helpless victim consciousness because it disempowers her. That you know she's better than that (at soul level, she is). Perhaps you might even say outright that you need her to be strong and manage her life, that she is responsible for her own happiness. We aren't supposed to find it outside ourselves. That a therapist can help her find happiness over time, but you are exhausted and need her to be the parent (appeal to any caring that might actually be in there). But whether she chooses to hear you or not, out she goes. At least that's my take on it. Got the t-shirt.

I looked up and there was this older woman with white long hair, a light blue night dress, and a silver walker. I remember her as clear as day. I had never seen her before. You know I wasn't going to watch this. It popped up several times on my feed and I asked my spirit guides do I REALLY need this? We kinda have the path already figured out. Pile 3. I think my mom may be npd or a dark empath. She almost died in April, I had to break into her house, and call an ambulance. I was with her at the hospital, I did spiritual work on her while she was in ICU...inworked with her wounded child, some too. Once she regained some health, she was right back to her cold, critical, envious self. I made the mistake of allowing her to stay with me until her health improved. Currently struggling to get her back home. There is a peice of me struggling with guilt that if I send her back home, it will happen again, but I have to realize that much of what happened was her own choices. She's not elderly, she's mid 50s. She's rejected her own self care...and if she does it again it's not my responsibility ro save her. But that's so hard ro accept as both her daughter. And a light worker. Something about surrendering someone to their own free will, feels like I'm abandoning or giving up on her. But the truth is, im not. Sometimes love means surrendering someone to their choices. Even if it hurts.

Angel is right, we must walk away from narcissist parents for our own sanity, self-worth, self-care, health, happiness, self-esteem. There's also a forum on Quora for children of narcissistic mothers, you might find some of those posts helpful. I did. People who had loving parents really have no idea, so ignore their judgement. They don't know it's like being caged with a demon day and night. They don't know the autoimmune issues you are more likely to have, the depression, the CPTSD, the relationship and trust problems, the inner turmoil... So as your sister far away, I encourage you to protect yourself, please, and I celebrate the fact that you are choosing to honor your worth anyway. I honor you for your acting on your own behalf.
Many narcissists also have a comorbid personality disorder like sadism, enjoying being cruel and making people suffer. But all narcissists seem to have a cruel streak, in my book. It looks pretty deliberate. You shouldn't be subjected to that, ever. And they can have borderline personality disorder; such parents sadly often can't see you as a separate person at all - they can be very codependent and/or even see you as a robotic arm to serve them - they are enraged and confused when you don't behave as such. Narcissistic folks can also have comorbid addictions, adding even more misery and chaos to the household. You deserve a life; and not just that, a happy and peaceful life. Yes, her choices are her choices. Her responsibility.
Things I have seen work if repeated firmly and often over a period of years, just to set boundaries... you might consider trying them IF you feel called to. You can repeatedly tell her you don't want her to fall into helpless victim consciousness, because it disempowers her. That's honest and valid. You can also explain what codependency is, and how it isn't healthy for either of you. Maybe give her Melody Beaty's book on it. And tell her you need her to be strong and manage her life, for your sake. Suggest you are worried about her unhappiness; you are, she is very unhappy inwardly. Fixing that, however, is above an untrained person's pay grade - she needs a professional. Emphasize that you want to help but lack the training, so you cannot fill that role. She needs to see a therapist so she can function better, be happier. She won't want to hear it, but it's the sanest suggestion for you both.
Healthy adults look out for their own needs. Tell her for her sake and your sake you need her to be a responsible adult who creates a life for herself, even if she's feeling down. You might also suggest (repeatedly, possibly for years, as they seldom listen or remember what is said to them) that she join a hobby club, a bird watchers group, a book club, hiking group, neighborhood cleanup committee, political group, animal rescue organization, bridge team, church, meditation group. Make a list of these and keep reading it into the phone every time she calls to harass you. Repeat it until she is forced to hear you. After decades of pushing you to parent them, sometimes these mothers actually can grow and take responsibility for their lives like other adults do.
You might even suggest she find a paid helper if she needs one. But please don't take responsibility for finding her one, make her take responsibility for her life. She won't like anyone you find anyway. And you know you probably must set a deadline for her moving out. Repeat kindly but firmly that you simply can't keep her there. You just can't. With such folks, no reasoning will avail in pushing them out of the nest; you'll need to give her a deadline and stick to it. She may even fake a fall to play helpless, or try to bribe you with a big gift - but you know the drill. Please just ignore her guilt trip manipulation, she's not a helpless old lady; in actuality she's emotionally two years old and trying to avoid adulthood. She's trying to parentify you because (frankly) it takes less effort. Using and abusing you is easier than doing any of the things above. She wants make YOU be her parent (talk about role reversal!).
Repeatedly remind her you believe in her and her ability to manage her life, insisting you don't want her to fall into helpless victim consciousness because it disempowers her. That you know she's better than that (at soul level, she is). Perhaps you might even say outright that you need her to be strong and manage her life, that she is responsible for her own happiness. We aren't supposed to find it outside ourselves. That a therapist can help her find happiness over time, but you are exhausted and need her to be the parent (appeal to any caring that might actually be in there). But whether she chooses to hear you or not, out she goes. At least that's my take on it. Got the t-shirt.

Awe. Listening to Angel's readings she is always spot on. I am sorry you had to grow up with a narcissistic mother. You sound like you have done a lot of healing and so has Angel. I am an an adult child of an alcoholic, married/divorced 4 times,; just left my final relationship with a narcissist man. That was 2 weeks ago. I had to leave because I was sinking into darkness. I am a healer who fell in love with a very deceptive narcissist. He was also an alcoholic. His alcoholism literally brought his demons out. I learned the hard way that when it comes to dealing with a narcissistic alcoholic you need to run away and never come back. I have a mission that I need to complete and a lot of it has to do with ancestral karma. I needed to get away. I feel so grateful that you and Angel were able to come out of a narcissist relationship with the understanding that you needed to heal. It has taken me that long to finally keep looking for a healing with my mother through a woman partner. (I am a male). Pile 3: My mother, my stepdad, and my half-sister all have that firey toxic/abusive energy. The hardest part is I know I can't physically do certain work now because of the recent illness so I need something where I can work from home or do hybrid work. You know I wasn't going to watch this. It popped up several times on my feed and I asked my spirit guides do I REALLY need this? We kinda have the path already figured out. I looked over at the clock and it read 5:55 and I was like ok Ill watch the reading, but I knew it wasn't going to be pleasant. I knew it was going to be a scolding session. Sure enough my spirit guides picked pile 3 for me and Angel was spot on in every detail. What she pointed out was just how much danger I am actually in and that I need to hurry. I always knew I had negative beings trying to destroy me in the background. They have even manifested physically and the few times they did it was one of the scariest moments of my life. Wow, this is really really crazy. 2 weeks ago I was watching a pile that was spot on like always, and I thought while laughing: "Wow, she's like my neighbour watching me trough a secret whole in the walls 😂" But now, I have this crazier WOW feeling, even although I thought that wasn't possible. While I was meditating last night, I felt like I was coming home to myself, I felt like I finally found my home, and after all, it was in me. The most incredibable and peaceful feeling ever.
