Inconel. How about an Inconel frame? I saw a car exhaust system made from that material by a british car shop (QuickSilver Special Projects). Maybe you can work out a bicycle frame and then compare it to other frames from different materials, that would be awesome.
I'm an ex-pro CAT 2 and have heard of bamboo, Scandium, and carbon/Ti weave frames and the new air-hardened steel. Magnesium is new in bicycle frame tech.
1:36 almost bought this very Look 765 model a few years ago. I went with an Emonda S6 instead which was cheaper and had Ultegra instead of 105. Still regret it.
Other bike channels decided to do cheesy April Fools episodes today. I thought this was going to be another one. But you passed on the easy material and decided to do something legitimate and interesting.
Looks really nice in the video with the blue skies and lush gravel tracks, reminds me of California. That's mostly not what my part of the UK looks like though.. does look lovely though. I need to move to somewhere where my bikes make more sense!
The magnesium frames aren't too bad, the VAAST is 1900 USD with GRX400 (which is pretty reasonable). But the rest are very much niche, and with that have noche pricing!
Do you mean graphene? Not a good material on its own, but works well to increase the strength of the resin of a carbon frame and decrease the mass. It's still a carbon bike at heart though

Scandium alloy

Beryllium?
Still waiting for injection molded reinforced thermoplastic frames.
the first time i heard about carbotanium is Richard Hammond talking about Pagani zonda in topgear
Boron was used to make the klein adroit.
I was hoping for a hilarious Aprils Fools Day video…..😞
I WOOD never believe a bike can be made from a dead tree!

No: look the expendebles movies, dolph lundgren wuld build a bomb by a frame!
So ash is bamboo?

Well, Bamboo has been used for fly fishing rods for a long time…..
......and used for bicycle frames for years (Boo bikes, Calfee Designs)
Missed thermoplastic carbon, which is trying a comeback.
Carbamboo
Wood looks like an excellent material to be fair.

Multimaterial was the cause of Titan submarine to sink because of difference of expansion rates.
Most people watching this NEVER saw, heard, or touched a STEEL frame! Chromolybdenum is steel the original bike-making drug. In Rust We Trust!
Beryllium frames were made by American back in the early 1990's. Financially impractical, but they did it.
I was going to get the vaast but it was only a one by so I got a titanium
Bamboo One looks really Nice 👍

Considering the date today I'm a bit dissapointed that all these materials actually exist.
Morgan cars have always been made with ash frames, at least the traditional models
Imagine being able to afford these

Onion frame
this can make you cry, and that's not even the price
@@savagepro9060 yeah 😂
Scandium
Best question, of all these materials, which can actually be reCYCLED!
Tampa bikes are made with wood not bamboo #doyourresearch
Thermoplastic anyone?
graphite? Is lighter and stronger than carbon. That's no on the list....
Do you mean graphene?

INB4 I know of mangesium, woods and carbon truss (which is still carbon but it's so different I think it counts :P )
😂
