  • I'm installing two more windows in my loft gables and milling logs into lumber for the next cabin and shed build coming up. You will see how I pull logs out of the forest with my compact tractor which has become an invaluable investment to get my infrastructure built on my raw land. I do all my own work on my property by myself with a lumber mill that has also proven to be invaluable to me. I hope that my story will help inspire others to take a chance if you are prepared to. Thanks for watching I am a fan of each and everyone of you that view my channel!
On this channel I will be documenting my off grid cabin life and how to make life as self reliant as possible. Hello my name is Allen English and I have always enjoyed the outdoors and retired at 58 to live my dream. Along with my cabin build I will document some back packing trips as well as fishing and hunting trips. Some of the ways I will do my build will be old school, but with a mix of modern tools as well. So I hope you will watch and get some good ideas for your own future off grid life you dream of. You can do it! Thanks for watching and I will put a video out weekly.

That tractor sure gets a good workout :D Those beams would cost a small fortune if you had to buy them. So I can see why you value the tractor and mill so much :D Have a great week Al.

Thanks Shelly, You are correct about the beams costing a small fortune and I have a lot of them to still mill up for the next build. It really is rewarding to make your own lumber. You have a great weekend too!
