I’ve never seen this premium version of the CSB study Bible, wow! Been a while since I’ve watched any videos. I lost my wife back in January. Needless to say I’ve been going through some things. God has been working in my life though and He is still Lord and King. Nice review and fantastic Bible.
Hi Tim! I have had my CSB Study Bible since 2021. I LOVE IT! The word studies and study notes are what sold me on this bible, as well as the highly readable translation. Recently I found an in-excellent condition ESV Study Bible for a great price at a used bookstore. I LOVE the ESV as well. The one great feature of the ESV are the well written introductions to the books, as well as the theological articles in the back of the bible. Also, all the full color maps on the pages of the bible which tie into the text on the page where the map is printed. I also like the fact that the ESV is a word-for-word translation. The CSB uses word-for-word and thought for thought, which is great. Because I purchased the CSB before the ESV, the CSB is my "daily driver". It is one of my favorite bibles out of the 12 I own. Also...it is very affordable. I have the leather-like (vinyl) cover edition. I have constantly recommended it to many brothers and sisters in Christ, and have sent copies of the Apologetics edition to un-saved friends. The CSB you showed is absolutely beautiful. But I can't afford a $200+ bible. Anyway, thanks for the always great videos you do. I REALLY love your enthusiasm and passion for God's Word. God Bless! Keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing Bruce. I am a new believer looking for a personal sized study bible to bring to church. Would you recommend the CSB or the ESV study bible?
Hi Tim, thank you for a great review. I have a HCSB study Bible, hardcover, and I love it. I’d love to get this one as well. I think Holman does an excellent job with their Bibles. Thanks again. Blessings 😊
After coming across this CSB Bible Study review, I realized I had it in my Bible Collection. I started the Day by Day Chronological reading plan in January and have begun using it as I like the great study notes to help me get a better understanding of my reading. I am so glad I came across this Bible review.
I picked one of these bad boys up hardcover. Absolutely helps understand things better. I find myself reading fast without absorbing as well as I could. I find the notes in the bottom to be phenomenal to help understand the flow of each book.
This is a good study Bible. The copy I have is hardcopy slightly imperfect. I do agree everyone should get a good study bible. I have learned the hard way Study Bibles are not to be carried with you on a daily basis!!
Thank you, Tim for providing insights into the content and layout of the CSB Study Bible. I've had the hardbound version for a few months and I've very pleased with the product.
Back in the summer I picked up a great CSB study Bible at Ollie’s. Basic personal size with small print. I think it’s the 2017 printing. It’s very useful. The study notes are fantastic!!! I never had a study Bible with this much additional info! On the inside mine looks a lot like the one you are showing here! Great Bible! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have the Baker Illustrated Study Bible, CSB. "Bible Believing Christian", who has a RUclips Bible review channel, encouraged me to give this translation a try. I purchased the least expensive large print I could find and after reading from it for a little more than a month, I decided to get a Study Bible and chose the Baker Illustrated because it was the most affordable at that time, and received good reviews. It's a hefty Bible, not just in it's weight but the information it provides. Just thought I would mention an alternative choice.
I've had the predecessor to this - the HCSB, and have found it invaluable in my studies. there are a number of features that it has that are not in some of my other study bibles (esv, reformation, niv, and a few others) such as references to extra-biblical sources such as the talmud and other resources. love, love, love it!
Thanks for sharing! I have used the CSB as my main translation for a few years and the CSB Study Bible electronically (Tecarta) but after seeing this, I will be getting a print edition as well!
This looks beautiful! I may need to add this to my study collection. I would love to see you review on an MEV bible. And, the MEV Spiritual Warfare Bible.
My wife stole my CSB Study. She loves it. I've been really enjoying the NRSV Cultural Backgrounds, which comes in several versions, I just didn't have an NRSV. I recommend it over any study Bible that I have ever seen, but yes the CSB Study is very good.
Good Review on this beautiful CSB Study Bible. I have the hard cover version which I purchased in 2021. I also have a Premium HCSB Study Bible which I love dearly! Your Premium Version is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Reviews.
Nice review, Tim. Is there a large print CSB study bible available by any publisher? I wear reading glasses and if the font was a bit bigger it would help me read the study notes. I'm 68 years young.
Thanks Tim for this good review. I’m looking for another translation that’s more in the language of today. This review is definitely going to influence my decision Thank you
Wow. Just stumbled on this video. I had no idea how elaborate all the features could be. I’ve only ever had loaners or pre owned now I’m considering a good study Bible
I love how cleanly this layed out. It's loud. It doesn't have so many colors and loud charts to distract. It looks very clean and consistent. Speaking from someone with ADH....oh look a squirrel...D.
There is a pretty cool Android version of this as well. I had this in large print sits on my bookshelf very invaluable. Also what's great about it is the study notes work no matter what type of bottle you have
The ESV Study Bible by Crossway and the KJV Study Bible by Holman are my go to Study Bibles. Fun fact, the CSB and KJV Study Bibles by Holman share a lot of the same great content!
Great video! I have the ESV study Bible and it’s great, but I like this one as well! Do you know if it’s going to come out in any other colors either in this premium edition or the imitation leather ones?
I'm beginning to think that this may be my next Bible. I have Thomson Chain KJV Bible which is nice but I am looking for a modern language study Bible.
I have this Bible, sort of. I didn’t get the more premium one though. Low key wish I’d spend more time in it. Also low key wish I had a single column premium CSB. I just love single column over double.
Hi Tim, really enjoy your videos . Please do review on the NLT illustrated study bible . What are the study bibles recommended for newbies in study bible like me . Thanks TIM , love and regards from INDONESIA🔥❤️🙏🏻
Hi Tim! great Bible review, as always! I am really interested in this Bible. I already have the ESV study Bible, though, so I am wondering about the wisdom of purchasing a second study Bible. Would you say that there is enough additional information in this to be worth it? There are so many wonderful Bibles out there - I can't justify buying them all! LOL
Hi. I have both the CSB and ESV study Bibles. I think they both compliment one another, without duplication. Each has features that the other does not. If you are serious about studying God's Word, it would be beneficial to own each. The theological articles in the ESV are excellent. The word studies in the CSB are excellent. And both Bibles have very readable translations. So my advice would be to purchase maybe a hardback edition of the ESV, especially if you use the CSB as your daily Bible.
Thanks Tim. Great info. This is an amazing bible. Too bad it's red letter, that's a deal breaker for me. I just can't read red letter. I have an amazing NIV1984 archelogical Study bible. It would be my daily bible but it is the worst bright red letter I have ever seen. As a result I only use it for OT. I just ordered the ESV study bible, black letter thankfully. Maybe they will make this is black letter some day. I would buy it yesterday.
Anyone know how this compares to the NKJV Study Bible? Im trying to decide between these two. These are the two translations that I enjoy reading most so thats why these two. Thanks
I would agree with Mr Wildsmith. The CSB is very much like the NIV in terms of ease of reading. I would also add that the CSB is slightly less dynamic in translation approach than the NIV, as it follows Greek wording a.bit more closely. Also, the CSB is not based on traditional translations like the ESV or NRSV are. This can be seen as bad if one likes familiar phrasing, but it can be good if done carefully. I think the CSB is done well and is a good resource to use alongside the ESV. Both are good balance of readable vs word-for-word, with the ESV being more traditional and the CSB occasionally being more accurate, often slightly more dynamic, but also more natural sounding. You don't know me, and have no reason to trust me, but I offer my opinion based on recent studies. The ESV and CSB are currently my choices. I have recently been working through 1,2,3 John in beginning greek, and comparing several versions verse by verse using the Blue-Letter-Bible app, and I was pleasantly surprised by the CSB for both literalness and natural sound. I hope this is helpful. If nothing else, try using the BLB app to compare several translations vs the Interlinear and see for yourself. Be well.
Read letter is of Jesus talking. I love the red letter & in other Bible just have black letter don’t like cause jesus red letters help me better what jesus is saying. It’s okay if you don’t like it.

My condolences. It is so difficult to lose one's spouse.
I came across this and just wanted to say I’m praying for you. Hope you are doing well.

I have that one it’s solid
Just ordered this one today and comes tomorrow. Appreciate you for the break down 💪🏾
It's a great value for the *$$$* no doubt. Is the bible an actual "version" of sorts, or is this *KJV?*
I recently picked up CSB Ancient Faith as well as ESV Study Bible, but this one should also be on the shelf!
I just bought this one CSB is my fav next to my KJV
The best thing about this Bible is the maps. I love the contrasting colors and they are not skimpy with them

I have the CSB study notes in Logos software great resource! but nothing beats a hand crafted Bible it is gorgeous!
Beautiful review Tim. Got me excited again about study bibles. Love the varied materials provided for scriptural, historical and theological depth.
Me too!

I have one MEV, but need to spend more time with it!
About to buy this Bible pumped!!! Thanks for the excellent review!

Best job in the world. Review Bibles and get free premium editions. I confess I am envious.

Thanks for another great review. ❤️

Love it!! it’s beautiful, I like in spite of heavy study notes it’s two column easier for my eyes to follow along with references; great review Tim!!

You're welcome!
Thank you for your commentary on csb Bible. What is the difference between a hcsb to the csb study Bible
They took off the "H" a few years ago when they revised it. But the basis is still the same.
I would love to see your review on the Thompson Chain Reference Bible, Premier Collection
Coming soon!
Love the Bible .. awesome review as always 📖✝️

New review of the NASb edition coming soon!
They have this bible done with the apocrypha. Anyone know where I can get a copy or did they quit making them? Thanks
CSB wonderful read

Do you have the digital CSB study Bible app? If you do can you explain how to use it?
I enjoyed it.
Anyone know how this compares to the NKJV Study Bible? Im trying to decide between these two. These are the two translations that I enjoy reading most so thats why these two. Thanks
How is it compared to the Tony Evan's csb version?
Totally different study content. This is more historical and literary where his is more of what I would describe as “devotional.”
Awesome looking Bible.
Sure is!
My red ribbon came unraveled. I have no idea how and it's the only HHC Bible where that's happened.
😢
Are there any other CSB bibles with the same text block, even in hardcover?
I’m not familiar with the CSB translation. How does it compare to others, like the ESV and NRSV ?
It’s more in the middle of the translation spectrum… close to the NIV range. I find it rather easy and natural to read.
I would agree with Mr Wildsmith. The CSB is very much like the NIV in terms of ease of reading. I would also add that the CSB is slightly less dynamic in translation approach than the NIV, as it follows Greek wording a.bit more closely.

where is the handcrafted study bible made?
They produce the Handcrafted Collection in China.
@@timwildsmith I believe they’re produced in Korea actually. The copyright page says printed in Korea at the bottom.
@@elijahtalbot1149 You're right! I was thinking about the Premier Collection when I said that. Good catch!

The only question I have is: does it a calvinist bias? It's a nice Bible but if the answer is a yes then I wouldn't recommend it.
You lost me when you endorsed the NIV, I have absolute no respect for the scholarly work of the NIV.
