Your a BRAVE man to chuck that koi in your pond without even a PP bath.. I hope in 2 weeks you dont see any flashing from parasites on your other koi. The shiro is definitely a nice fish though, so best of luck with it.

It may seem redundant, but it's time to finalise this year's membership. Buying more sloppily is asking for trouble. Mud pondrearing always fails if it is added later. It is our common sense that this lesson also applies to our ponds. Fix the members quickly and sterilise them once. Then they are not netted or touched during the entire feeding period until the autumn harvest. There are exceptions, of course, but this is the most common way to prevent disease and it is a lesson for all of us.

@@KoiPondLifestyle Over there, business comes first and there are too many temptations. In particular, there are many temptations from importers who have no experience of growing KOI themselves. I think the key to building friendly relations with us Japanese hobbyists is to block them out.

Hiya, I use a Gopro 9 black with tripod and a Gopro hero 5 session for the underwater bits..I could do with upgrading the 9 black though as I've had it for a few years now 😉👍

Quick question - what size are your air pump and air stones?
I’m looking to put 1 or 2 air stones into my pond but other than the pump capacity written in text (50 litres per minute, 120 litres per minute etc etc) I can’t find any videos showing how that relates to how strong the air bubble stream out of the stones would be. Obviously I don’t want to buy a pump to run a couple of stones and then find that it’s not strong enough, but getting ‘real use’ information is somewhat difficult.
Hiya, mine is a Kockney Koi 50ltr air pump that runs 2 8 inch air disks located in the pond and supplies 3 of the multi bays to feed oxygen through the media.. any more and I might need to get another pump?😉👍

To be honest that’s pretty much a similar set up to what I was looking to implement.
I obviously don’t want a jacuzzi but I don’t want it to be under gunned and struggling to supply enough air, especially if the hot weather ever turns up.
Nice one hope Graham is doing well. We got the brother or sister to it a couple of weeks ago. Doing well but we have found that it loves to jump especially when we have the net in but doing vary well hope your as lucky with yours mate 👍 remember job's a goodun is what it's hard from a young age haha

Andy, may I ask the literage of your pond and how many fish you have? Mine is 8500 litres and I’m running a Nexus 200; I currently have 12 fish and thinking that’s enough but always tempted.

Nice.. Enjoy your new fish. I base my numbers on what my filters can cope with so adding fish slowly with time in-between to seen how the filters are coping always helps you suss when your pond has enough.. 😉👍
Always a thumbs up 👍 short but worth watching every time. And yes the flipping weather's not doing us any favours, will we get enough sunshine to warm up the pond still sitting at flipping low temps, 10c in the morning's lucky to reach 13 by the afternoon 🙄.
