    You should have started the trim cap being in the tightest corner at the bottom of the letter. Meaning you make that sharp bend first, having measured the needed trim cap to create the seam at the top of the letter. Seams are always at the top of the letters, so there are no light leaks visible.

      I believe the video speed is 3x so about 3 times the length of this video.

    would it be nice to have the joint in the bottom? to avoid water filtration?

      The joint or seam we'll always be done at the top of the letter, so there are no visible light leaks. The metal channel letter itself should have holes drilled at the bottom that are for drainage.
