The reason you are sealing the edges of mask with background type of color is because it is a cloth, porous canvas material with no sheen? To prevent rough bleed out edges in lettering Please respond.. What type and sheen of paint?

You should have started the trim cap being in the tightest corner at the bottom of the letter. Meaning you make that sharp bend first, having measured the needed trim cap to create the seam at the top of the letter. Seams are always at the top of the letters, so there are no light leaks visible.

would it be nice to have the joint in the bottom? to avoid water filtration?

The joint or seam we'll always be done at the top of the letter, so there are no visible light leaks. The metal channel letter itself should have holes drilled at the bottom that are for drainage.

Most medium or low-Tack transfer tapes should work fine. I was using the R-tape Conform 4050RLA Medium Tack. But I have used the Conform 4000RLA Low Tack. Which would be my preference. but unfortunately the 4000RLA isn't easy available in my market. Thanks again for watching.

Any brand will work, but low tack works the best.
