    I have a huge culture of isopods currently. It might have taken me some time but it's worth it when you start seeing mancae from them is the biggest reward

    A good idea it to place down a small square of carpet after it rains, I allows find a lot of isopods that way.

    Is it ok if I have a rather medium sized beetle that I found in the terrarium? I just found it and well I can’t exactly put him anywhere else no tubs no extras terrarium no nothing else what should I do they seem ok with eachother one eats dirt the other 2 are eating a carrot

    I had only two isopods, two different species. There are now babies

      According to a FB isopod page, someone said this.
      I agree with a nasatum on the first but the second it's an Armadillidium vulgare for sure, I find em all over my yard here but the exact morph I'm unsure of.

    Hi Big Red..do isopods hibernate..cant seem to find any at this time. Its November !

      Little late, but yes in some places isopods will burrow down in thick leaf litter to keep warm in winter and under logs and brush when snow

      @@BigRedsIsopods I keep native millipedes here in the UK, have done for 20 years or so. Great little creatures.

      Dead leaves, fish food and vegetables (wash the pesticides off)
