Is there a chord chart with these skeleton voicing?
When you make the changes you suggest you are actually changing the name of the chord ie. F9 to F13. I know they are both dominant but will that make any significant tone changes in the way the song is supposed to sound? Just curious.
In jazz, the adding and subtracting of chord tones within the same chord type is always possible. The only limitation is the need to avoid a clash between the melody and the chord tones you choose, and how you voice them.
