By the way, this episode is from Nick's perspective because, for some reason, I could not download NL's perspective for the life of me. I tried both the RUclips and Twitch VODs and I still couldn't download it. Fortunately, Nick's worked so that's good.
Also, feel free to give me some feedback in the comments. Since this is more like a pilot episode than anything, I'm down to make some changes in my editing style if people want less banter, less time spent in the thought process before selecting words, etc. Anyway, enjoy!
In Codenames, two teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin.

The best part is that, even though I've watched all the Codenames segments, I don't remember every answer, so this is basically brand new to me
This is actually one of the best games that they have played on the NLSS, seriously. It really is something special

I personally like just being able to hear their voices. It can be a lot if theres music going on in the background constantly
Are you going to keep this layout when they get to the code names that has the teams on the side? I really like that you put the clue in the center. The white background is a little too much for me but other than that this is great!! Keep up the good work
@@jonathanfabian8139 Not sure! Depending on the position of certain things like NL's facecam and the player interface, I might just move stuff around to make it look nicer and less cluttered. Also, I'll see what I can do about the background. I can't promise anything since editing is a fickle beast, but I can probably find some way to make it easier on the eyes.

Man Nick really did bring something special-heck so did Hafu. The NLSS really benefited from the diversity and different approaches they brought :)

Seeing Nick again makes me happy, even if it's a compilation.
I never really enjoyed Nick as a part of the NLSS, but I seriously lost any respect I had for him after I listened to his reasoning for leaving the show.

I think you edited this pretty well. I liked having the teams and the current word on the screen. The little extra bits when Hafu said the wrong number or when Nick clicked the death word were good, it felt like they fit but were not over the top. I didn't feel like there were any lulls that you had missed cutting out, I watch them for the banter so I would rather that stay in personally.
I think it is fine without background music since you cut out the parts where they are quiet but it could be good with some low music too.
MALF and Josh have this magical synergy where together they have less problem solving ability than if they were working independently.

Wow, times flies... I can’t believe they started Codenames so long ago that it was when Nick and Hafu were on the show.
I didn't realise it was Hafu that pushed for them to play it in the first place!

If you search like, "rockleesmile left nlss", there's an overwatch video where he explains why he most likely won't be back. It's sad, because the NLSS has changed a lot since he left IMO.
