You mention the last remaining star-fighter, but not the obvious reference at the end when the drilling ship does the 'Death Blossum' FROM the 'Last Starfigther' to destroy all the ships.
cap 2 and 3, ironman 2 and 3, avengers 2, thor 2, all star wars movies, the tremors movies, back to the future movies, the dark knight series, the pirates movies, and many many more. often is an understatement. the sequels are usually better.
I would disagree with some of your selections... specifically Iron Man 2. That one was awful. And certainly not all the Star Wars movies either. Back to the Future movies for sure though. HOWEVER, to each his own... one persons bad movie is another persons great movie.
fun fact in the 80's Disney sued universal studios for $30,000,000 claiming that Howard the duck too closely resembled Donald the Duck in the end Disney lost and in turn paid legal fees to Universal studios in the sum of $10,000,000
There are even more little references: 1 - Quill's starry eyes reminded me of the Cosmic Awareness, one of Mar-Vell's (Marvel's OG Captain Marvel) powers. 2 - Stakar/Starhawk is the future son of Wendell Vaughn Quasar and Ayesha (the Sovereign's golden priestess). 3 - When Drax told Mantis she reminded him of his daughter, that could be a reference to the Avengers' Celestial Madonna saga, where Mantis disputed the title against Moondragon, Drax's daughter. 4 - Both Nebula and Adam Warlock play very important roles in the Infinity Gauntlet saga, from which the Infinity War movies are based, so the both of them HAVE to appear on those movies. 5 - Jeff Goldblum's character, the Grandmaster is the brother of the Collector, Benicio Del Toro's character from the 1st movie. 6 - Ego's biomass threatening to absorb all the planets is very reminiscent of the Maximum Security crossover, where Ronan the Accuser (the 1st movie's villain) transforms Earth into a prison for all the Galaxy's criminals, including a compressed Ego. But Ego escapes and starts to absorb the Earth, just like in the movie.
Marco Rocha marvel has the reigns on this and says Adam will not be in Infinity War. Last year everyone was speculating on who would die in Civil War if you need a reminder on how much Marvel needs to follow their own lore
Marvel said Adam wont appear in any of the infinity war movies so I'd say its impossible for him to have the soul stone. That being said, Marvel could be lying to us to hide the truth, after all GOTG 2 takes place just a few months after GOTG 1, which mean it takes place before Civil War , Spiderman, etc etc.
Personally I think Adam will get the Infinity Stone AFTER the events of Infinity War, maybe because the Sovereigns stole it to get revenge on the Guardians. It's only been confirmed Adam won't appear in Infinity War, no one have said anything about Ayesha, or any other Sovereign couldn't appear in the end-credit scene
One thing that cements the theory of Stan Lee being a Watcher is that he knew each of their names. The Watchers never tell anyone their names, only their title as a Watcher. Plus when they got tired of hearing his story and walked away. Shows that Stan Lee, a Watcher, always tells these over the top stories of where he's been and what he's saw (or Watched) and shows that he either lives, serves, or frequently visits the Watchers. My theory is Stan Lee will have the greatest sound off to all his fans and to himself by playing a Watcher in a future MCU movie or be in an actual The Watchers movie.
Stan Lee isnt a Watcher!!! This not make sense! Why should a watcher be in a human form with all the other watchers in his real form? Why should he ask the other watcher, how he comes home? I think Stan Lee plays The One above All!
Hmm, interesting. I have this theory that the Doctor Strange movie took place before The Winter Soldier, because Jasper Sitwell listed Stephen Strange as a threat to Project Insight long before he's seen on screen or became superhero Doctor Strange, why would a regular doctor be a threat?
Two easter eggs I noticed were in the beginning of Vol. 2 Groot stops dancing like he did in the first movie when Drax looks at him and the second is in the first movie Rocket said he needs "that guys eye". Baby Groot brings it to him and Yondu in the cell in the second movie.
Gunn wanted Adam to be in Vol 2, but thought there were already enough new faces. He regrets putting the cacoon in the first film, he just writes it off as a cool easter egg.
Howard the Duck... Sadly among the most failed Marvel movies and according to what I've heard the reason why Marvel pulled basically all their license up until the recent decade or so.
lol I love that episode of Simpsons with Stan Lee. "he's not the hulk, I'M THE HULK, BRAAHHHH...." "Oh please, you couldn't even turn into Bill Bixby."
Pablo Rivera marvel green lit the second movie days after the 2nd film broke marvel records. put the movie into production not long after that. hence its very quick production.
Get that silver spoon out your arse ya twit. You hipsters need to calm down, you feel the need to show you were into stuff before it was "cool" haha, you really are pathetic to be honest.
in the Marvel Universe, there is a character known as The Stranger (sometimes The Enigmatic Stranger) but he somewhat resembles Stan Lee (without his glasses) but he is several stories tall, like the Celestials. Much like the Watchers, The Stranger is very often an impartial observer.
I actually thought he was playing pocket football to show how unconcerned he was with the alien. Yea, I'm a million years old, I know. Everyone had this game back in the day. I seared the "touchdown" tone into my parent's brain on long car trips. It drove them bananas hahaha.
Ego's ship when landing on home world was a nod to the ship in Heavy Metal movie. "So Beautiful and So Dangerous" ship. Both had smiley faces. Only if you are over 50 would you get this.
I had the comic where the lame Dr. Donald Blake finds a stick in a cavern and strikes it on a rock. He is then transformed into Thor, and the stick into Mjölnir. He changed identities many times before becoming Thor for good. Man, do I wish I had that comic now!
R.I.P. Stan Lee's Wife Joan Lee. Passed away recently at 93, Stans best friend for 70 years. He wrote her poetry daily and I cant imagine how he is going to stay without his best friend. Remind Stan how much we all love him and why he is important to us all. Send him your love.
Hey Looper, it's been confirmed that Stan Lee is in fact the same character in all the Marvel films. Kevin Feige confirmed it. He said: ‘Stan Lee clearly exists, you know, above and apart from the reality of all the films. ‘So the notion that he could be sitting there on a cosmic pit stop during the jump gate sequence in Guardians was something very fun - James had that idea and we shot that cameo and loved it so much, you know, you see it a couple of times in the movie. ‘It wasn’t in for a long time and we put it back in towards the end of the process where he references that time he was a Federal Express agent - we thought it would be fun to put that in there because that really says, so wait a minute, he’s this same character who’s popped up in all these films.’
The credits of the movie say that Stan Lee plays "watcher Informant" so he is not a Watcher but an agent of theirs. It may be that there are many of these informants that all look the same. Once they witness something epic they return to the Watchers to report and are then reassigned, or maybe retired such as Stan's appearance in the first GotG where he appeared to be a rich citizen of the Nova Corpse planet.
How would the Gardians have seen the Hulk's foot prints on an alien planet when the Hulk hasn't actually been there yet in the movies? All that Easter egg really tells us is that there could be a possible Planet Hulk movie in the future. Also the reveal about what Ego really is really didn't surprise anyone who's familiar with the character. The only thing I was confused about at first is how he had a human body.
Stan Lee doesn't say he's a FedEx delivery he says he was a postman which I believe he's making reference to Fantastic Four when he sees Reed Richards and he welcomes them back to the Baxter building
What other Easter eggs and small details did you catch in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2?
Cosmo the space dog
Looper yes the watcher
Looper and I am groot 3 times in the end
Looper Howard the duck at the end of the 1st one
You mention the last remaining star-fighter, but not the obvious reference at the end when the drilling ship does the 'Death Blossum' FROM the 'Last Starfigther' to destroy all the ships.

It's not often that sequels can do as good as the first movie...but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 pulls it off wonderfully!!! Such a great film.
cap 2 and 3, ironman 2 and 3, avengers 2, thor 2, all star wars movies, the tremors movies, back to the future movies, the dark knight series, the pirates movies, and many many more. often is an understatement. the sequels are usually better.

Marco Rocha: Adam isn't showing up until Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
Marco Rocha marvel has the reigns on this and says Adam will not be in Infinity War. Last year everyone was speculating on who would die in Civil War if you need a reminder on how much Marvel needs to follow their own lore
There was a nod to Star Wars with a glass of blue milk on a table.
J4play 1210 theres sooo many nods to star wars in this movie
The inclusion of Howard the Duck is an indirect nod to Star Wars, seeing as George Lucas produced the Howard the Duck movie.
Marco Rocha not surprised by that
J4play 1210 nobody else see Han Solos blaster when Rocket and Yondu were breaking out?
Brian Madsen I didn't see that!

Who else thinks Adam Warlock will have the Soul Stone?!
It will be heimdal. I dont think they are going to introduce him in infinity war
Marvel said Adam wont appear in any of the infinity war movies so I'd say its impossible for him to have the soul stone.

Stan Lee isnt a Watcher!!!
This not make sense!
Why should a watcher be in a human form with all the other watchers in his real form?
Why should he ask the other watcher, how he comes home?
I think Stan Lee plays The One above All!
Scarab324 He is credited as a Watcher informant. The one above all would never serve the Watchers.
The One above All talks with Peter Parker over his aunt May and the lifes wich he saved in this years, so he can do jokes with other figures.
Ethan Reuben the credits also have Stan Lee as FedEx worker too in the other movie.. so on and so on, he's The One Above All.. obviously.
Watcher Informant. That's why he's in every Marvel movie and proving the multiverse exists.
watcher informant? XD
seriously?
Thats make no sense.
Why should be such a big name like Stan Lee only be a watcher informant?
Never heard that StanLee wat her theory. That would be INSANE!
stan lee was also a postman in fantastic 4 (not the reboot)
I liked that Howard the duck showed up
Tony Stank
James Gunn should make a remake of Howard the duck
Stan lee can time travel cuz vol2 take place in 2014.
:O omg you're right!
How so?
The ProperGander i don't know but I think when Rocket do the 700 portal jump the ship went to the future briefly.
The ProperGander one of strange awards have a year number 2016.
" I AM TASERFACE!!!! " I love that scene ! with rocket !

Howard The Duck!!! "No more Mr Nice guy". Lol. Love that movie.

Stan lee is The One Above All
Great stuff, Keep up the good work!

Awesome film. Watched it over and over again. Bloody Amazing!!!!
thank god. a GotG2 easter egg guide. i would be lost without this... if it was 4 days ago
Two easter eggs I noticed were in the beginning of Vol. 2 Groot stops dancing like he did in the first movie when Drax looks at him and the second is in the first movie Rocket said he needs "that guys eye". Baby Groot brings it to him and Yondu in the cell in the second movie.
If Adam is in that cocoon who is in the cocoon at the collectors place?
Satire Saint a giant caterpillar?
Gunn wanted Adam to be in Vol 2, but thought there were already enough new faces. He regrets putting the cacoon in the first film, he just writes it off as a cool easter egg.
See my comment above, Gunn explained it in an interview.
Satire Saint James gunn said the first cocoon is Adam warlock but it was meant as a little joke/ Easter egg.
Oh ok cool
Quill: "You said you were gonna eat me!" Yondu: "That was being funny!!"
Quill: "NOT to me!!"
Rocket: "You people have issues."
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

ZD Productions LOL!!! This joke made my day!
(Galiga was also referenced in the Avengers movie). He wasn't actually the player because we later see more ships that went around the asteroid field.
I don't use just my brain for my arrow is the best line in this movie
That song playing in the Contraxia planet scene, when Yondu appears for the first time, is so fucking good
Howard the Duck...
Sadly among the most failed Marvel movies and according to what I've heard the reason why Marvel pulled basically all their license up until the recent decade or so.
My fav movie growing up
SHADOWWOLF77 I liked that movie as a child
I liked it also despite it could definitively have been better.
lol I love that episode of Simpsons with Stan Lee. "he's not the hulk, I'M THE HULK, BRAAHHHH...." "Oh please, you couldn't even turn into Bill Bixby."
I liked Guardians part 1 alot better. Part 2 didn't seem like it took that long to make.
Pablo Rivera marvel green lit the second movie days after the 2nd film broke marvel records. put the movie into production not long after that. hence its very quick production.
Starhawk joined the Guardians long before the Jim Valentino iteration of the Guardians in the 90s. He joined shortly after his debut in the Defenders.
I'd take the Sovereign and the Kree over that stupid Ego villain any day.
Howard the duck come back already! 🙏😎
the amount of likes i get will be the amount of times i will miss a marvel movie
I hope Howard The Duck gets a movie with Man Thing!
guardians doesn't have true fans just people who hopped on the marvel bandwagon.
JR Smith i don't like gog too
so ?
That's with all the marvel movies. True fans read the comics
I liked guardians right away and i fucking hate other marvel movies
Get that silver spoon out your arse ya twit. You hipsters need to calm down, you feel the need to show you were into stuff before it was "cool" haha, you really are pathetic to be honest.
I still can't stop laughting when I see that scene when Peter was asking everyone for that stupid Tape xD
Can you guys keep this comment at an even amount of likes
you must be desperate
haha very desperate
Looked like thanos fighting someone when rocket was jumping in the spaceship

hmmm lets see what I have tomorrow on tuesday...
1. Track and Field training
2. Frisbee Practice
3. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2!!!! AHHHH!!!!!
About Stan Lee being Watcher, made my day
i liked how draxus' timing was off on almost everything, he had me cracking up
I actually thought he was playing pocket football to show how unconcerned he was with the alien. Yea, I'm a million years old, I know. Everyone had this game back in the day. I seared the "touchdown" tone into my parent's brain on long car trips. It drove them bananas hahaha.
Very well done!
It's my first time to see a Microsoft zune in this film. When I was in 9th grade that was 2004, the rich kids already have the apple ipod.
Ego's ship when landing on home world was a nod to the ship in Heavy Metal movie. "So Beautiful and So Dangerous" ship. Both had smiley faces. Only if you are over 50 would you get this.
Next phase of marvel will be so interesting with Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock appearances
I use to own that football game. And back then it was the coolest. I loved it.
You forgot the actual planet-look of EGO was also showcased in the movie.
And Yondu's tall-mohawk/fin.
Which are obviously homages to the comics!
I had the comic where the lame Dr. Donald Blake finds a stick in a cavern and strikes it on a rock. He is then transformed into Thor, and the stick into Mjölnir. He changed identities many times before becoming Thor for good. Man, do I wish I had that comic now!
Seen the movie 3'times cried every time, not ashamed!
His cameo as a delivery man wasn't only captain America Civil war it was also the 2000's Fantastic 4
He got him a Zune !!!!! that had me cracking up
R.I.P. Stan Lee's Wife Joan Lee. Passed away recently at 93, Stans best friend for 70 years. He wrote her poetry daily and I cant imagine how he is going to stay without his best friend. Remind Stan how much we all love him and why he is important to us all. Send him your love.
Ayyy I could recognise that voice anywhere! Dex you're sounding crisp m80
If you watch the credits it says "Stan Lee - Watcher Informant" So consider that confirmed

Once they witness something epic they return to the Watchers to report and are then reassigned, or maybe retired such as Stan's appearance in the first GotG where he appeared to be a rich citizen of the Nova Corpse planet.
Sovereign drone attack and the fact, that pilots are remotely operating them- it's exactly like in Ender's Game
Our local theatre was very dull, and I was the only one who was enjoying those small bits.
I felt the newest one had whiplash in its tone. Going from funny to screaming and crying super fast.
Stan Lee doesn't say he's a FedEx delivery he says he was a postman which I believe he's making reference to Fantastic Four when he sees Reed Richards and he welcomes them back to the Baxter building
