It's weird to think GT7 will be the first game to feature the most latest version of the 992 given their track record of implementing cars before this Spec II update, but damn... this is just a great score with their relationship with Porsche currently, hoping we get the 963 and the 992 GT3.R soon enough, I'm craving to see Rexy liveries for this car now
(P.s.: RUclips's comment section is somehow broken for me atm) Although we recently had the Valkyrie, FL5 Type R and GR Corolla in the past few updates, the lack of "most recent" cars in the batch of updates we had last year and like the first half of this year was lackluster, overall... I still appreciate PD still giving us Free Content at this time
@@Tanga2460 well guess what... I didn't watch the movie and just because it was part of it doesn't mean it would've been implemented this fast from the get go... also, I think you don't even know what overthinking actually means...
The car is just an absolute joy to every sense, it looks, sounds, and drives amazing, definitely one of my new favourite cars in the game, can’t get enough of it
The sound is good, but I think it’s missing a more high pitched sound, specially on the higher revs. Otherwise the car model looks perfect, and the DRS detail is amazing, outside and in the cockpit
@@samueljones3668 I’ve done a couple laps on one earlier this year on the ring and on the cockpit it sounds more high pitched them the GT one. Not saying it’s bad, it’s pretty close, but still misses these small details
When I first drove this for the online special event, I was hooked. I was carving up Laguna Seca with great confidence thanks to the car’s grip, handling, and brakes. When I did a power lap around Lake Maggiore East, I hustled the 992 to within fractions of a second of the 918 Spyder’s time. It’s an absolutely amazing machine.
Porsche has created something really incredible here😮😮it's the GOAT for sure❤.... Looking forward to more like this one.... Like the rennsport that came out recently..... Just pure beasty beauties.
I've been driving the 992 GT3 RS in my VR rig(Logitech G Pro wheel and pedals) and it's probably the best stock car I've ever driven in this game. It's so easy to drive, and the noise it makes is unreal. It makes me feel like a driving god.
Yes, unfortunately the car is completely broken, not only will it lock its steering to the left, it will randomly accelerate or decelerate if the rear of the car is upset. We have tested it thoroughly in a lobbie and it seems the suspension is somehow affected by the DRS, whether you use it or not, making the turning completely unpredictable and changing its top speed. We all had the same car, same lobbie, but some people could do over 300kph while the car right next to it would rapidly and randomly decelerate below 250kph, for no reason, DRS unactivated the whole time. We've all tried to fix the suspension and it only got worse. Unfortunately you're going to feel pretty alone on this one, none of the people in this comment section even play GT, let alone own a PlayStation, so all you're going to get is some idiot saying "looks good, sounds good, let's goooooo", gang gang", and polyphony will never fix this car because we're buried beneath every idiot mindlessly typing a pointless comment in the hopes someone will notice them. Your best bet is to forget about this broken trash and try a different car, or better yet, a different game. Godspeed sir!
Thanks for this information I just thought there might be something wrong with the car. Although I have not noticed some of the issues you have been experiencing like the suspension of the rapid speed decrease.
@@archiegregory4288 it mostly happens with rapid height gain or loss, we haven't tried it on flat tracks yet. But the corkscrew at Laguna is unmanageable, and the carousels at the Nurburgring are launch pads into the nether realm.
@@pedrosoandrew he's not talking about lift off oversteer. This car has a glitch in the suspension system that is triggering the car to lock its steering to the left, if you pause the replay and go into photo mode, you can actually see the right front tire pinned under the front bumper. Sounds simple to correct right? You just use a higher custom suspension and it's fine right? No it isn't, because every millimeter you've raised the car is now depleting your cars ability to take advantage of its downforce and increasing the amount of travel in your suspension, so you raise the stiffness to overcome too much sway right? Nope, if you do that you're now making the suspension too stiff for anything but super soft slicks, not ideal for endurance racing. The DRS system is somehow tied to this, which only compounds the problem. Good news is there's about a hundred people, myself included, trying to figure out a temporary fix on GTplanet until they fix the car.
Is it possibile this is slower than the 991 version or is it me? On the final part of the ring the stock 991( in the videogame) touches the 306-310 km/h. The 992 stops at 285🤷🏻♂️
I was literally looking for this comment. I found it so strange that on an identical set up this car is almost 2-2.5 seconds slower than the 991 version on all tracks i’ve tried it on. I also find it really strange that the 991 GT3RS is much faster than the black series as well. Either something is wrong with these cars or the 991 GT3RS is an absolute animal 😂
The 992 GT3 RS is 1 second faster in Tsukuba than the 991 GT3 RS. 57.9 vs 58.9 secs. And over 10 secs faster in the 'Ring. At least for me. It's easier to drive and doesn't understeer on throttle. If you're slower with the 992, you're definitely not driving it to its full potential. And this is before I found out that I can toggle DRS at will. You can brake later and and it has faster cornering speeds. Wtih DRS activation, that's at least a half second off in Tsukuba and literal seconds faster at the 'Ring.
This is my dream for this year, the addition of the 992 GT3 RS. The attention to details and the renderng are far superior compare to the other simcade games. Just 2 minors critics : - shame that the suspension are not fully adjustable as the IRL GT3 RS. - Shame that the driving mode is not in sport or track mode but in normal as we can see in the right of the dashboard
