The p38 has both a VC and traction control. Rear wheel traction control was introduced in 1993 with the classic, then in 1999 the p38 got traction control on both the front and rear axles.
I disconnected TC and fitted Torsen Bias Locks front and rear..vehicle is stock as other than Cooper AT's ........nothing yet has stopped me other than clearance.
Brian Earl Spilner...sounds like a serial killer name. Is that what you are?? LOL I don't know where this video was taken, but it's gorgeous and suits the RR well. I am more than likely going to buy a 1995 from a friend of mine later this month when my taxes come back. He's pretty much already been through all the bugs with the electrical system, and the suspension has been converted to coils with the correct module.
@John McLoughlin ... I read it as "TI 238 738" so the RR is registered in the Canton of Ticino, the most southern Canton right on the Border to Italy ..... BUT ... this Landscape does not look like the Ticino, rather more like Central Switzerland, maybe the Canton Uri. From Ticino you drive through the 18 kilometer Tunnel called Gotthard and then you are in the Canton Uri wich looks very much like in the video.
No intentes este cruce de puentes con Range 3, velar, etc... Este fue el último auténtico 4x4 de Land Rover el Defender 2 lo parece pero aún apenas pisaron calle, cuando pasen 3-4-5 años con varios coches en la calle hablamos.
And you can pick one of these up for 3000 au dollars

from nok to us $ i picked one up for $600. no no frame rust. only rust on the body is a bit on the bak of the wheel arch. and a spot on the tailgate. 1 broke skockabs, 1 broken shock airbaig. and some other smal things. im so happy :-)
Was not badly built. Same bs as the 928 Porsche. Poor people bought a rich mans car and couldn't keep up the maintenance. I love my p38. Also loved my 1986 928s. Just depends on if you repair the damn things or drive till everything needs replacing. That's a fact.
@@dontdoit6403 agreed. When they were new it was a lot of unproven technology & there were issues, but now the fixes are all known about & a well maintained example is an extremely capable & lovely to use car.
My favorite Range Rover. Enjoyed the air suspense-sion.
That's a nice demonstration of traction control, thanks!
10 years in Jail in Switzerland for driving on the Grass 🤨😂

Wow, that wheel articulation!
Needs more cowbell
Gorgeous truck
Sounds like a Swiss cow with a bell in the background

Great demonstration !
They say the TC on these trucks is no replacement for a locking diff; I think it comes really close though

👍🏻
+ the mountains and the cow bells ;)
Where is this video taken? Such a peaceful and beautiful place
It was filmed in Italian Switzerland, exactly in the “Valle di Blenio” in the Canton Ticino 👍🏻
Simple and effective very good

wow very impressive
Coooolll
Yes
where was this?
Окуенно....., особенно задний план!!!
yes yes good
Is that air suspension? Is it stock or aftermarket?
Air suspension is stock on the p38
What's the year of this vehicle?
Between 95 & 99
i thought the p38 didnt have traction control, i thought it only used a viscous coupling
used viscous coupling when the center diff locks, but the P38 always has TC and ABS
They did and didnt 2 pin and 4 pin 4.0 and 2.5 didnt have front only rear and later models did and 4.6 did have
get decent tyres no waiting then !!!!
cojonudo

good technology, shame the p38 was so badly built and unreliable. thanks for posting its a great demo.
They aren't always that way if you keep up with the maintenance which admittedly is more than the average car
