I have loved your videos for years. I admire how you have nurtured the land and created a peaceful haven for yourself and your creatures. The bird song reflects the happy that exists.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cottage the good Lord trusted you to steward. I'm 68 and just bought a 50x100 lot with a double wide and am trying so hard to transform it into a cottage and garden. I'm praying my health does not fail...blessings from the 🇺🇸 USA.❤😊
You can do it one day at a time. Don't stress. Don't overwork yourself. Take the time to savor your progress. And, don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it.
I am 70. I live in a development. I don't have a big yard. But, I have two flower beds and a container garten on my patio for veggies and strawberries.

I'm 68 heart attack survivor and fell 15 feet from a tree stand last Nov with broken ribs,vertabrae, dislocated shoulder and disc issues. I'm still gardening even through the discomfort. Hang in there and pray daily 😊

I happened along your path quite happily! First, what a blessing to me and others that you chose to share your life of beauty, solitude, and nature! Second, I believe I’ve found a woman much like myself! Age 62, retired psychologist living in USA (State of Tennessee) in zone 7 on 65 acres I purchased in my early 30’s. I too am an introvert. My solitude is paramount. I’ve often thought of sharing my lovely gardens and my knowledge. But, alas I am not willing to spend one moment with anything I am not truly passionate about. My earth life is finite in this human body. Certainly, I will return to enjoy your gardens, as long as you choose to continue!

I really enjoy your new video "intro device" you are sometimes using now where you silently walk towards the camera. The quiet of the walk is a sophisticated device that makes the viewer think something important is coming up. It reminds me of the open of some old TV program just before the host begins to tell a story about what we are going to see. But then of course you DO tell a story and it IS important! Well done.👏👏👏
Edit update....your closing shot of Patsy in the rays of the sunlight with the image of the Goddess looking at her is very cinematic. My career was in Hollywood working on films so I love to see art done well. Even if unintended or not planned, you really have a great innate sense for cinematography and storytelling!

Time gardening is time well spent, got some beautiful red tipped grass planted along with various wildflowers for the pollinators, the wisteria is attracting bees now, cherry blossoms pinks and blues, all the new leaves and watching the little birds fly in and out of the trees, it’s a busy time for nature as we move through the year,

I actually watched it outdoors and laughed when i heard "your birds" and "my birds" chirping in the background wondering, can they understand each other from different parts of the world!?? Another chuckle happend while watching your video, while you were at the baby oak, growing amongst the sedge.. i was just thinking, Colette, you are like a true Momma of the earth....And thats when you referred to the little oak as "a baby" 🥰

I try with my little patches and getting more bees and butterflies now but would be in heaven to live in the unspoilt countryside like you do, Collete and Patsy. You've made a wonderful paradise. I often re-visit many of your videos, especially when I feel a bit "down", because, the Happiness and Love that you feel for your garden is so uplifting me.
The little plant you had wonders about, I think is some kind of a liverwort..
With all the plants you have you might be helped by a Plant Identifying App (there are many to choose from)....
I have one which I use quite often and it works well for me....

The front area by your gate is BEAUTIFUL, Collette. I’m wondering if you’re going to whitewash the stones? My Gramma and Grandpa immigrated to the US from Kilmovee, Co Mayo and she always lined the driveway, planting beds around the house and trees with rocks and stones.. then she would mix up the whitewash and I would help her paint the rocks every year. Ah, the memories… she was such a strong, loving Irish woman. ☘️
A lovely tradition I did for years but the plants take over. Still, I may do this again! 😊it’s lovely that you continue to honour your grandmother!

Also, farmers in Mexico and other countries still make charcoal and use it in their fields to help plants to grow.

Thankyou Colette, it's so beautiful there! Just a thought, maybe you know of the use of charcoal in the Amazon rainforest. The people long ago learned that is helps maintain fertility. What's known is that nutrients and organic matter cling to the particles even if it looks like soil and it remains as charcoal in the soil for many thousands of years. All the while it sequestors carbon from the air. Thankyou again, your videos are wonderful
