It was actually a spur of the moment decision due to numbers. Since my band director was short on mellophones, she had some trumpets try to play a mellophone. I tried it out and did fairly well. Also, I wanted to play another instrument, so it was the perfect fit. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for asking! I would recommend getting a spare mellophone if it is available. Next, during this school year, I would ensure that your knowledge of trumpet scales/fingerings are solid, as mellophone is very similar. Private lessons aren’t necessary, but if you don’t feel comfortable learning on your own it may be helpful. As you transition into playing mellophone next year, ask the mellophone section leader any questions you have.
How come you switch to mellophone during marching season instead of just using the trumpet?

What are the phone rings for the mellophone
Hi Logan, I think you may be referring to fingerings. There are no "phone rings" for mellophone. Thanks for watching!
Where did you get this s mellophone?
This mellophone isn’t mine. I’m loaning it from my band. It’s just a standard Yamaha.
@@blakebro1 dang I wish I could say the same. The ones at my school stay at my school
