@@englishprofessorvitaly3622 - Sasho might be even stronger if he ate meat. You can’t use the exception to the rule as a valid argument that applies to everyone. When I experimented with veganism my body composition definitely changed and even a 1% difference in fundamental strength makes a difference in armwrestling. It’s perhaps enough to be a champion in one weight class, but no overall champion has EVER been vegan.
@@kingwillie206 no overall champion has ever been vegan? That doesn't prove anything cause only like 1% of the population is vegan and most vegans are probably skinny hippies peace protestors anyway. It's like saying no chess #1 player in the world was ever black so that means they are dumber...
There are some strongmen,bodybuilders and athletes that are vegan and do well, but overall if you look at the top across different disciplines there aren't a lot of vegans. Of course you can argue that is just because vegans are fewer regardless.
There is also a few other things to consider. Most of those guys turn vegan later, so they have already built themselves up before they went vegan and are more so just maintaining rather than building up from scratch.
Also top class vegan athletes have a lot more resources and motivation to perfect their diet vs an average vegan is a huge difference as well.
Of course the same is also true with someone being top class and someone being average either way as well.
You probably also start noticing more major differences only after prolonged time that would be multiple years,decades.
Also saying someone is vegan can mean a lot of things, and can ultimately have many differences. Depends who is making the definition and how strict you have to be. Are you still eating things like eggs,milk,fish etc
Then you still have to add the juicing on top of being vegan or not.
Just some things to consider either for or against in the argument of vegans,health,top performance,athletes and what have you.
Alexey voevoda is still training and he loves armwrestling. He's just not aiming to be one of the best in the world. No need to risk his health.

I‘m not an expert at armwrestling, but I have to say I’m not surprised that Zaur has problems with injuries when I see the weight and form of his exercises.
Maybe there are safer ways to come back to the top, I hope he‘ll get in top shape soon 🙏🏻

Hutchison, Grundy, and Smith are Matt’s other matches this year, which he won all of too. None of those guys are old. And the 4:3 loss to Kalina was one of the closest matches of last year.

He also destroyed krasi, derek smith who had a win at EvW against a formidable opponent so I'm not sure what your point is.

Alexy will never leave armwrestling its in hes blood. As long as hes around the gyms and theres a table and guys training on it he’s jumping in and training with them. Hes always going to be in great shape. As for Hardcore competing again I dont think he needs to prove anything anymore he had that great run and after completing his goals it he decided to go try other things like bobsledding. But one things for sure he will always Arm wrestle in some form of way.

Denis vs Ermes will be another mismatch. Pretty sad tho. It would much better from the beginning if he had some easier matches, building up and facing the Top Guys at a different time. I agree also with the fact that he does seem depressed or not really motivated somehow! ... Great to see Zaur regaining his peak shape.

Thanks for showing the updates on Zaur. He has incredible power but he needs to work on some areas to refine his armwrestling to be in top 5.

The problem with Voedoda and others who believe that trash talking is disrespectful is that Armwrestling is irrelevant in the big picture. The way it becomes relevant is like the old saying, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".

I really wish Alexei would losen up on the "if i cant be the best i quit" mentality...thats absurd. The excitement in AW is about the fight, not the finish. Theres SO MANY FANS that just seeing him in a war, and even if he loses is equally as good, if not better, than him just running through somebody. A war match with Alexei is almost as good as it can get, win or lose.
Denis is just scared because he wants to be healthy and avoid taxing his system too much.
What most people don’t avoid is Devon’s metal warfare if you engage with Devon days and weeks before the match he will get in your head and beat you down mentally if you don’t see Devon till the day of your chances are that much greater! He’s a master of the mental part of arm wrestling

Devon opened Ermes wrist about 20 times in a row in the first round and just kept doing it every round after what. Idk if I would call the wrist or Dennis iron. With Ermes back pressure and pronation we will see if Dennis has an iron wrist

Just so that any viewer who hasnt seen that Kalinichenko-Mask practisesession full video, Kalinichenko had buckle on his hand everytime and was pinning Mask like 20times while Mask got few pins here and there. Mask actually looked better in leftarm but his left is trash so i guess Kalinichenkos left is even more trash.

Forearm angle in relation to gravity/sealevel matters in the pronation lift. Zaur's angle is bad, like 40 degrees compared to sealevel/gravity. Devon is almost parallel, he gets it. That's why he knows he's still better than these guys lifting big weights with "different" form.

Alexey Voevoda hasn't won anything in arm wrestling since like 2006. Just gonna leave that there.
He crushed Michael Todd in 2007 but he will only return to his 2004 form unless he does what got him to the top

260kg bench is actually not "that great" with 190kg bodyweight. Still 260kg though, which is insane in itself.

Who thinks Cyplencov was ahead Devon in strength but was not at par with Devon technically?
In initial 4 to 5 second of 1st round Devon got the view that he is not able to win only with strength.
I don't know that constant jerk technic was thought of the moment or he had planned it before. But that was end for Cyplencov.
In his practice pull against Dadikyan he had looked very weak against quick movements.
But that containt quick jerks tell the story of Devon being legend of Arm wrestling.
