LOL. I thought the contractor screwed up. Same thing happened in Areva Nuclear plants. Westinghouse design dint have the bends though! google "French regulator approves EDF schedule for weld checks" this was the reason for entire France Nuclear plant stoppage!!! google "A record 26 of its 56 reactors are off-line for maintenance or repairs
after the worrisome discovery of cracks and corrosion in some pipes used to cool reactor cores"
Best picture: google "Cracking Under Pressure: Inside the Race to Fix France’s Nuclear Plants"

@@LorezaKabuhayan can u imagine they (EDF) screwed up the engineering design! google "the French nuclear plant builder Framatome - a unit of EDF - had modified the original Westinghouse Electric Co. design used for the 40 older units" ...... from same article follows "Among other changes, the new layout made four safety water injection lines more
sinuous - more twists and bends - making them vulnerable." It is RARE for engineering DESIGN phase to screw up!

@@LorezaKabuhayan EDF were already $45bn in debt, the outages cost them ANOTHER $35bn on top! Sacre Bleu!
