Westbrooks stats will be elevated all year based off usage alone. He is their offense. This will come to include horrid shooting percentages and likely a ton of turnovers. Most people will only look at the triple doubles he'll have and ignore all the ways he might be hindering the team as well. I admit he's insanely talented but I also don't see him being the main star that is able to carry a team anywhere near a finals. End rant.
I've been saying the same. I recognize and even appreciate his talent. But as a leader of the squad he should be trying to elevate the whole team and not accept any slacking by his other teammates. He seems content to just elevate his own stats regardless of how bad the rest of the team does in the game. Look at all the greats: Kobe... Demanded perfection and elevated his team. Jordan... Demanded perfection and elevated his team. Lebron... Demands perfection and elevates his team... People fault Durrant for leaving but maybe what they don't realize is that Durrant was tired of playing on a team with a selfish player... Westbrook is the OKC equivalent of Melo... Immensely talented but will NEVER win a ring until he learns to play as part of a team... In any case I forsee him leaving for the L.A.L at the end of the season... Him and Harden will be going there when their contracts are up.

Not saying he's the "best," but I've never seen a player that's as athletic and dynamic as Westbrook, including LeBron. I mean, LeBron is powerful, a "freight train," and freakishly athletic and dynamic as well, but Westbrook is something else. It's like where everyone else has menisci, he has superballs in his knee joints. Watching the league since the late '70s, I really can't think of a player on the level of Westbrook for what he does, including Jordan, who is just a different type of player.
