@@THEchadjitsu Wow that’s tuff. Both have had phenomenal success lately. Both wrestlers with similar styles. Flip A Coin Who’s #1 on that day with that ruleset.
@@sirbalanced5486 good point about the rule set. Last fight pass invitational the rules were like nothing I have seen in grappling before. Hopefully that doesn’t interfere too much with these guys and they are able to properly scrap.
@@THEchadjitsu yeah man I wish there was a universal ruleset for No-Gi. We have Pans, ADCC, Eddie Bravos, Fight Pass, CJI, IBJJF, Quintet..the list is endless. I like ADCC..it favors wrestling but I don’t like the down time until points. Lots of stalling.
Every time we see a new ruleset that addresses stalling people find a way to game the system, ebi was awesome then guys just stalled for ot to win off fastest escape, adcc was great cause no points first half pushed everyone to go for subs, now we get a stall fest until points kick in. Sub only is best but all the stallers avoid the rule set or make it boring to avoid getting tired.@@sirbalanced5486
I'm shocked that the "black belt" shot on a wrester as good as Pixley at the end of a match, that's like sticking your head purposely into a guillotine to see what would happen.
Ppl love talking about how wrestlers went into cji and adcc and did well vs BJJ ppl, but here's an example where the amazing wrestler could barely get anything going vs the BJJ guy in standing position. These are just good athletes
I'd rather see someone switch their game up and try something risky than be unidemensional and play safe the whole time. .. won't blame someone for playing safe and a-game for majority of match... But I think if your not willing to take any risks, even at the end, it says something about you.
Looking forward to Pixley vs Nicky Rod
Same. How do you see it going down?
