    You are so on point. This is the most disruptive tech I’ve seen since Napster. The producer and publishing game will be greatly impacted.

    ALSO as of 2 years ago spotify was caught curating some of their top playlist with "fake artists" they were accused of buying/generating songs that they in turn own outright legally. upload the content under an artist name that doesn't actually exist , while collecting all the revenue from its streams on the platform...

      Yeah, I remember this. I could see record companies doing it too. I think they all want us gone. AI is something they’d have absolute control over and there’s nobody to split the money with. Sick & sad. Spotify controls its algorithm & record companies have the pre-existing catalogs the platforms need to attract users.

    The trading thing maybe the answer the AI thing. If the most original music stocks are higher then an AI assisted music stocks then it could balance out.

    Doubt it, I bet spotify and apple music will be using AI to detect pure AI songs and put a stop to it. Generative A.I will help the beat maker get an instant vocalist for their work. The real vocalist will always need a studio to record, so beat makers shift their skills to recording engineers. There will be no A.I audio engineers recording real bands and singers. Our jobs will shift but its not the end for a long time.

    But why do we never talk about AI music creating new jobs for new upcoming artist using it to their benefit successfully?

    • @Payusnomind
      @Payusnomind  5 месяцев назад +8

      There’s a Yen & Yang to everything, but the level of abuse is already evident. It’s the system that’s the problem more than the AI. Discovery is driven by algorithms which is also becoming reliant on AI. Humans are being removed from all aspects other than consumption. In the end, greed wins.

      @@Payusnomind No that is not true , you see it in a wrong bad perspective. because in the end the joy will win, the people who make music for love and to enjoy what they do will win, however, the other group that exploits and abuse music for financial win , they will lose , and lose their jobs and they should. They better look for another cow to milk than use the music for their financial benefit. Find a real job. And I've got more to say : these so called copyrighted artists scream fire right now , they wrote their music using ideas from others as well. NOBODY wrote a piece of music all by himself. They all were inspired by other music, and they copyright their version for financial benefit. And I have more to say , real people will always enjoy real music and real artists. To see them live and pay for a ticket to see their favourite artist. AI is not able to replace that. Neither willl AI replace the joy that I have when I play music that I love so much. All that panic suddenly is just by talentless people calling themself an artist fighting for their right. All crap. And I have more to say : when the car was invented. , the horses did not complain. When the Bike was invented , the walking company did not complain, When the electric piano was invented , the real piano factory did not complain, when the drum computer was invented we all thought nobody would love playing drums anymore., What a crappy thoughts for pitty people. AI music is here to stay , and will make a lot of new doors to open for more people. More enjoy , more music , more better music. ok enough for today :) ,maybe you agree in some of it ?

      @@klaurcschwackerberg1880the thing with historical precedents in technology, is the tech required a specialized knowledge and nuance in order to get the most out of them. Thats where the job opportunties nuance and renaissance came from. That key part is being cut out now, hence you see machine learning engineers talking about UBI.
      Wheras as long as all our data is open season, and GenAI is meant to trivialize knowledge in general and require none of it for any user. Its direct to consumer.
      youd always be playing a game of trying to outrun a algorithm to stand out trained on every work youve made or will make.
      Now sure I understand chatbots as they stand cannot generalize like us, but the industry standard of "good enough" eliminates most except the few with built in brand names and exceptionalism. Plus with the web flooding with deepfake personas, and unattributable works, this makes a flooded market even worse.
      We arent in the honest founders era of big tech anymore. Its mostly run by shills and management consultants rather than creating specific things people need, they prefer to use bait to just hook more people into their ecosystems, and art is the carrot on their stick.
      These platforms were just supposed to host, index the content and help make it discoverable not go behind peoples backs to become publishers, and lord over the entire internet while looting at its value from other sites.
      and their business model has always been surveilance and data exploitation using media as a smokescreen for quite awhile.

    • @Payusnomind
      @Payusnomind  5 месяцев назад

      I think things go backward in a way. Everything becomes more community-focused because if there's no relationship, people will just turn to AI. Like I have friends who are producers and we enjoy bouncing ideas off each other and feeding off each other creatively. You can't replicate that with AI. What we have today is solitary music creation. Someone makes a beat alone on a program and uploads it to Beatstars, another kid with a program he uses to record his vocals leases it and records over it. The producers may not even know the song exists, all they care about is the sale. All the rapper cares about is a beat to rap over. That part of things will die. There's no difference between AI and buying a beat on the open market. So we go back to community and relationships.

    Pay, It's a big box of new crayons with connect the dots construction paper and I'm using it to "generate" some pretty bankable joints. People need to stop crying about how the world is changing and realize that this train is not in the long tunnel it's been in since music was first recorded, Like this is gaining momentum faster than SpaceX, and if you blink you're gonna be left standing on the ground watching your seat on the rocket disappear into the clouds

      That’s just a tiny part of it brother. Whether it’s using authorized samples is somewhat irrelevant. Like 10% of Hip Hop records produced by humans use authorized samples. The problem is supply exceeding demand to the point that value becomes worthless. AI is learning, it will advance past the point of needing to use samples at all. It’s not to be fearful, it’s to recognize that survival requires artists move different from the way they do now. Saying “it’s using samples” and being unconcerned is a fool’s errand. Jermaine Dupri spoke out about it for a reason.

    • @techcowgirl

      For thousands of years now, musicians have been listening to each other's music and taking bits and putting them into new songs. This is organic evolution and also why you can take any given chord progression and it will apply to hundreds and hundreds of other songs. Adding AI to the mix just makes that process faster. Exactly like when the printing press and cameras were invented, those changed the speed with which people created things. We need to find ways to use the new tech to benefit society.
