At our dance studio, we must wear all black with our tights under our leo, and our hair done formally. We also stay In the same outfit the entire class.
Lots of studios aren’t actually like this. My studio has to wear a color leotard by dance levels. I’m in the highest class so I wear black on Tuesday and any solid color on Thursday. Sadly, no designs. Then we wear full length convertible tights under our leotard (I actually like it wayyy better under the leotard). Then we are not allowed to wear any skirt in ballet unless it’s at warm ups before pliés. I really like how expressive and fun her studio is. It’s such a vibe and it makes me feel happy when I see her wear fun Leos!❤
It's because she's a professional. Once you leave high school and enter college/the professional dance world, you're expected to dress yourself to fit your own needs rather than a dress code. And if you're giving yourself class, there's no dress code to even enforce.
We just started doing a new program like this. The levels are 1-6 and I’m in level 6 so I have to wear all black with pink tights. Level 5 has to wear navy blue and I think level 4 has to wear purple. Idk about the rest but yea!
@@Dancergirly2027 Girl… your studio is so much like mine. 6 wears black, 5 wears navy, 4 wears a purple/ maroon, 3 is royal blue, 2 is lavender purple, 1 is pink. But that’s so cool that our top 3 are about the same!
@@BrittanFlake-hr1lk yea our level 1 has to wear light pink. Level 4 is like bright purple tho not maroon and one of the levels has to wear light blue but I’m not sure if it’s 2 or 3. It’s not our whole studio that does this tho. It’s just a new Pre-Professional program for those who are more serious about ballet. I do all styles so I like hip hop, jazz, lyrical, ballet/pointe, modern, and contemporary. I do the ballet program but it doesn’t have a dance for our spring recital or anything so I’m also taking an additional ballet class for the recital. 🥰
At our studio we only get to wear any color leotards only on Saturdays and black during the week 😭. I really love your leotard, where did you get it from.
at my studio we have to wear black leos and light pink tights underneath the leo. our hair has to be slicked back in a tight bun as well so this definitely doesn’t happen at my studio
i’m so sad my studio doesn’t allow any colored or print leotards i can understand for the lower levels cos they need to learn but i’m in pre pointe and ballet 4 im not even allowed to wear a skirt A MESH SKIRT like i have so many pretty leo’s that arnt black and im growing out of them i hate it like higher levels bc they have more experience should be allowed to not have just black leo’s
at my studio you must wear black leotards and tights under until you get into the company, then you can wear whatever you want, (company is a group of levels ranging from ages 10-18 depending on skill obvi)
