    We Found a Munitions Cave that Supplied the Ho Chi Minh Trail during SECRET WAR | Back Roads E12
    A few kilometres inside of Laos from the Vietnam border we were able to find the hill that housed massive anti aircraft guns that protected the cave beneath. The massive labyrinth of a cave was used to store food, weapons, ammunition and supplied the Viet Cong as they moved south down the Ho Chi Minh trail through Laos towards southern Vietnam.

    Well another Gem of an episode mate. Really love my Monday nights in the fart tub with the big girl and double episodes of Now in Lao. Makes the three days in the hole well worth it. The contrasts in Lao have no peer mate and that cave is like a certain place I visit every weekend.. Top notch road tripping.

    Hi Todd,,very beautiful country! That cave was mindblowing. Very interesting rock formations. No way could I do that trek. One suggestion I have for you,,my brother ,you might want to invest in a pair of good adjustable carbon fiber trekking poles. They take a major load off sore knees,,especially on the steeps like you had,,longer for downhill slows the slipping and falling and shorten them for uphill. They really do help. I've used them for 25 years,,back when I still did backpacking trips. Lol when you were bushwacking,,I could picture a damn flaring cobra head popping up 😳😱🥺. Our Mina has soo much fun. ,, skipping along to her newest bounce castle. Your point about the grunts that moved stuff along the trail had to have been dead on. Omg the sheer size of some of the loads they hauled. 200 plus lbs! I've seen quite a few pictures and documentaries on the war. Ken Burns Vietnam War is a great one. Very interesting buddy. Thank you so much! Take care Todd and Neenee and Mina ❤ Ttyl,,,Marlon

    Wow, Todd and the gang, hat an amazing vlog! I was captivated and I really did not notice how long the whole thing was, it just flew past. It is not surprising that the roads up there get so damaged with the large number of huge trucks and tankers continuously pounding along them up there at the border. The boys with the spinning tops certainly had good eyes and precision when knocking their opponents tops out of the ring. Could you imagine Western or even city boys of that age getting so much pleasure from such a simple game? Those caves were absolutely incredible with all the different rock formations, so beautiful. To think that during the war it would have been a hive of activity especially during the night when munitions and supplies would have been moved to other locations along the Ho Chi Minh trail. You are right when you say that this cave complex and probably many others in that area would, even if discovered by bombers, be absolutely impenetrable. You are an intrepid explorer Todd and go places I would never have dreamed about. What an interesting guy Mr. Lee is. Very clever. I love the way that he gave up what was clearly a promising career in Vientiane to return home to look after his parents. SE Asian family life and kinship is so different from modern day Western family life. Thank you so much again, for taking us with you on your travels. God bless you all always. 😀❤🙏

    Hi Todd, I hope you're all doing well?
    Quick question, I know you get money if people watch adverts. Is it by the number of adverts or the length of the adverts?
    I only ask as I had an advert that lasted over thirteen minutes whilst watching this video.
    Cheers

    • @NowinLao
      @NowinLao  11 месяцев назад +1

      Damn that's a long one! Revenue is raised by ads viewed. Very little if the ad is skipped after the 5 second timer, and most ads need to be watched for 30secs to count for anything. The only time I'd sit through a long ad is if I've started one of my series playlists and walked out the door for the day.. let it play through the whole playlist ads and all hint hint 😆🤣
      Nah, I wouldn't be hanging round for a long ad like that. I really do appreciate a short ad here or there though. Thanks 😉
      P.S just to give you an idea how hard it is.. 1000 ads viewed (that's not skipping) earns between $6-$7 🫤
