They do feasibility studies, make business cases, whether such a venture is financially viable or not, etc for months and months before they all commit. AI will not make people's live better nor will it propel large scale job creation. Software engineering is short term needs. Software will not make products or grow food. We need manufacturing jobs and environmental jobs and farming jobs to sustain human needs, not a piece of software that can process documents and information faster than humans. The faster the technology is, the more (and faster) human workers will be expected to do! And the easier Humans can be controlled. Is that the world you want to live in ?!
