My dad introduced me to 'Bert and I' in the early 70's when I was about 5 years old by buying and playing their first album and I've appreciated their humor ever since. In fact, I bought cassette tapes of their next 3 or 4 albums.
"Well, I emptied him a bit"... Always loved these guys! Great to hear this recorded live! I believe the original had the Bangor Packet coming at them from port, but here it's from starbord... perhaps they got turned around somewhere around nun number 2...
Old Vermonter Bob Bryan, retellin’ the story. Who else remembers that a “Nun Buoy” has its name from the shape of of a nun’s wimple? Or that a “Packet” was called that for the impoht’nt missives it had, abohd?
