Honestly the devs have been putting in WORK over the last few years. My friends quit at the end of year 4 and will not listen when I say the game is in such a good spot now. Obviously there is still work to do but its fantastic to see especially if you have been around for the long run.
Yeah the zone change to Nuxia was a massive nerf regarding her mix-up potential and a hard read against opponent GBs for the 28dmg due to it having only 100ms GB vulnerability but is now 11dmg due to the zone having a start up chain. It's honestly what kept her somewhat ahead in the meta that continued to shift. Between the zone finisher and zone trap, players always dodge them both early frame. What would fix the issue would be to make the start-up zone a medium or heavy hitstun that would add just enough recovery for the opponent to make a proper read between the zone finisher or trap. And zone was honestly perfect before given the zone trap being an actual 50/50 off of GB and light parries to get a potential 32dmg off, almost like shaman with her 35dmg bite from bleed off of light parry and GB. Nuxia's offense being a 33/33/33 is a pretty tedious offense to utilize, doesn't help that miss parry windows counter traps and they're used more often than ever. Simply reverting the zone trap back to a 33/33/33 offensive read really did obliterate the potential it had before.
I've been complaining about lawbringer since 2022. All I want is for them to put him back the way he was. This one is simultaneously boring, spammy, lacks any kind of uniqueness, and I think more unhealthy for the game despite what they say.
This tierlist was good to see cuz the characters seem now more balanced than ever before and for the most part almost everyone is viable. Now we just need a new fours tierlist
I get why people don’t like Sohei but to me I love him so much. I can do a with what little he has because he’s down to the fundamentals. I love that play style. Being able to bait out attacks with a unique gimmick I love it. I don’t need him to be best of the best I just need him to be him. A chain bash would be cool but I definitely don’t need it.

Conq with some damage changes and a roll catcher would be really good. Medjay would be pretty solid if he could feint his staff stance grab in combo so he could actually use half of his kit.

thanks for the message to the devs to speed up the kick lol, her kit is already balanced so people dont eat the 35 damage heavy/kick mixup, she cant throw both a kick or a heavy from any of her bleed attacks and bleed last 4 seconds meaning that its pretty unlikely someone is eating the 35 damage constantly if they speed up her kick. she basically has to choose during a counter attack to either apply bleed or go for the mixup. still not an opener but it would make her actually fun to play in 1s, shes a ton of fun in 4s though, but anytime someone suggests this mild buff that would make a huge difference in 1v1s people want to come after her damage as if this buff makes way of the shark the most OP thing in the game(its not).
Wondering how much of a difference reworking Zhanhu's light finishers would do for him. I know they reworked Jorms neutral lights to look more like his neutral heavies because before they were to distinct from each other. Cant help but think if the finisher light/heavy mix worked as intended how much that would help.

In reality Lawbringer after all his changes is a solid S tier, he has every single problem that make him not perform that good solved so is just natural that he has rank up. Is just that the For Honor players are so used to Lawbringer being bad that they haven't properly put him in the place that he belongs now.
A feint is usually done by using B or circle depending on your controls. Its always only on heaviues or zone attacks. A Soft feint is when a move can cancel into either a guardbreak or another move. An example is Raider can press the Guardbreak input at the start of a heavy animation to guardbreak.
@@nathanashcroft8677 a list of characters that can "soft feint" their attacks and I remember are: Lawbringer, Centurion, Peacekeeper, Raider, Kensei, Sohei, Jiang Jung and Zanhu. There are probably more that I'm missing but those are the ones that I remember because are the ones that I use.

Havok pretty new to for honor and just starting to get pared with rep 60+ ppl and it feels like the game went from light spam to feint and guard break spam. Any rips on how to play against this? I feel like i went from ppl new to the game right to ppl who have been playing for awhile (im rep 11)

Only because of input delay. Inherently console has more and you can't fix that even with high refresh rate monitors. Outside of that no there aren't, the performance mode on console can be flipped on and off at any time too for more frames. Anyone who complains about losing to a pc player because they're on console is just looking for excuses

God damn lawbringer has been bounced to high heaven and my boy the absolute go raider get his A tier spot back I definitely don't think you should be a busted character cuz that is just too overpowered but my god he at least needs to be hella viable which he is now which I am so happy for cuz this guy is my shit my bread and butter
how the hell is warmonger considered the best one? Literally nothing changed since her release... you just gb her out of dodge heavy, its so slow, the punish window is really long, these guys rated her like somebody losing to a certain character over and over instead of learning how to play the character to discover weaknesses. The guy doesnt even know that a fully charged claw has punish window...and nobody tries to correct him, are you even playing the game?
Other char's did get changed/nerfed which indirectly makes her better and also her bash got a big change, it got the same treatment as warden's bash where it got sped up

Elite players already know what the good heroes are. All this is gonna do is tell dipshits that Pirate (the most broken hero in the game) is actually somehow dodgeshit, it's just stupid. Because any tierlist other than high level is subjective mostly, if you get 100 average to above average players to do a tierlist they'd all be different, but most of the comp players would be roughly similar, these tierlists are good for many reasons really, its good feedback for the devs for a start, but it's good knowledge for all level players, if they come up against some players who are really good players or good reactions, they'll have a better understanding of which hero will give them a better chance of success and the reasons why, so it's not a rage bait tier list at all, but subjective casual tierlists are literally pointless, you struggle against Pirate and that's ok because you're not a top player but at least you know Pirate works at your level but won't work against someone who has good reactions because her animations are quite easy to differentiate between sending the attack and feinting when you train it, if you think Pirate is broken, play her against a comp player and see how many attacks you land with her
@@HavokYT What you're saying makes no sense. No casual player will ever go against a .01% player with 140ms reactions, and even if they do, what's it gonna change if they know what heroes are 'best'? Also, Pirate IS broken, nobody cares if people with genetic advantages can react to her mixup. We care about skill, making good reads, not reacting to shit. Furthermore, if we were to listen to 'top' players and, for example, buff Pirate, the game would die, you cannot deny this. A tierlist from any "casual" like any other major youtuber would be infinitely more useful because while they are not top .01%, they are still extremely good at the game without the crutch of having insane reactions, so a tierlist from one of these 'casual's would be way more useful for the playerbase. The entire tierlist isn't useless, but a lot of it is simply because you consider people with abnormal reaction times to be useful points of data. In most games I would say it should be balanced based on the opinions of top players, but in this game, absolutely not. Becuase the only difference between 1% and .01% players are just reactions, which are not something you can reasonably improve.

When I say "casual" player tierlist, I mean lists from YTers like Jon, Sol, Faraam, etc. Players who play the game 'casually' but are still extremely good, top 1%. They all have similar opinions on what heroes are strong, but their opinions are not warped by merely being able to react to things that 99.9% of people can't react to. Saying a hero is weak because "I personally can react to them, and so can 100 other top level players" will not give a casual player a good understanding of what hero's are good or bad. Tell ANYONE besides the 100 best players of the game that Pirate is the worst duelist in the game, and you're just gonna look like an idiot (because you are). In most games, balance advice should come from the highest echelon of players, but in a game where the difference between 1% and .1% is just reaction times, I'd rather the 1% be the ones who's opinions the devs care about.
If its a 500ms attack, its actually 400ms and then then lantency of the opponent. Thank you ccu 🖕. So of you opponent has 50 latency, its a 350 ms attack.

I did NOT expect lb S tier. Expected Cent and lb to be the other way around, and they both got unnecessary buffs, but I could see why lb is there.

how the hell is warmonger considered the best one? Literally nothing changed since her release... you just gb her out of dodge heavy, its so slow, the punish window is really long, these guys rated her like somebody losing to a certain character over and over instead of learning how to play the character to discover weaknesses. The guy doesnt even know that a fully charged claw has punish window...and nobody tries to correct him, are you even playing the game?
Other char's did get changed/nerfed which indirectly makes her better and also her bash got a big change, it got the same treatment as warden's bash where it got sped up

I don't get why you make this rage bait tier list (I do, it's free $). If it's only for the 1% (less than that) then what's the point in making it? Elite players already know what the good heroes are. All this is gonna do is tell dipshits that Pirate (the most broken hero in the game) is actually somehow dodgeshit, it's just stupid. Not to mention most of the 'skill' from the 'elites' is just being able to react to half the casts main mixups.

Because any tierlist other than high level is subjective mostly, if you get 100 average to above average players to do a tierlist they'd all be different, but most of the comp players would be roughly similar, these tierlists are good for many reasons really, its good feedback for the devs for a start, but it's good knowledge for all level players, if they come up against some players who are really good players or good reactions, they'll have a better understanding of which hero will give them a better chance of success and the reasons why, so it's not a rage bait tier list at all, but subjective casual tierlists are literally pointless, you struggle against Pirate and that's ok because you're not a top player but at least you know Pirate works at your level but won't work against someone who has good reactions because her animations are quite easy to differentiate between sending the attack and feinting when you train it, if you think Pirate is broken, play her against a comp player and see how many attacks you land with her
@@HavokYT What you're saying makes no sense. No casual player will ever go against a .01% player with 140ms reactions, and even if they do, what's it gonna change if they know what heroes are 'best'? Also, Pirate IS broken, nobody cares if people with genetic advantages can react to her mixup. We care about skill, making good reads, not reacting to shit.
Furthermore, if we were to listen to 'top' players and, for example, buff Pirate, the game would die, you cannot deny this.
A tierlist from any "casual" like any other major youtuber would be infinitely more useful because while they are not top .01%, they are still extremely good at the game without the crutch of having insane reactions, so a tierlist from one of these 'casual's would be way more useful for the playerbase.
The entire tierlist isn't useless, but a lot of it is simply because you consider people with abnormal reaction times to be useful points of data. In most games I would say it should be balanced based on the opinions of top players, but in this game, absolutely not. Becuase the only difference between 1% and .01% players are just reactions, which are not something you can reasonably improve.
@@roamdhonga tier list for casuals isn’t really a tierlist since anyone is viable at that level. It’s the same reason why in other more traditional fighting games like Street Fighter and Tekken, tier lists revolve around the how the top 0.1% uses characters.

When I say "casual" player tierlist, I mean lists from YTers like Jon, Sol, Faraam, etc. Players who play the game 'casually' but are still extremely good, top 1%. They all have similar opinions on what heroes are strong, but their opinions are not warped by merely being able to react to things that 99.9% of people can't react to. Saying a hero is weak because "I personally can react to them, and so can 100 other top level players" will not give a casual player a good understanding of what hero's are good or bad. Tell ANYONE besides the 100 best players of the game that Pirate is the worst duelist in the game, and you're just gonna look like an idiot (because you are).
In most games, balance advice should come from the highest echelon of players, but in a game where the difference between 1% and .1% is just reaction times, I'd rather the 1% be the ones who's opinions the devs care about.
