That 8 deployment round tore the tempo away from the enemy and never let him get it back.
Also being set for chaff for the rest of the game meant you could adapt and keep asking questions the guy ultimately could not answer since you never had to focus on fleshing out chaff again, great choices!

I love those massive unit drop rounds, i had extra deploy and got 4 units in a drop, deployed 8 chaff and it just feels so in control after that

Hey, Zaamos. Congrats on the channel. I actually watched one of your videos recently! I subscribed and look forward to seeing your videos.
I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos. I also use a plugin called FireCut in Premiere Pro. It's mainly geared towards podcasts, but I use it for the captions on screen, usually during my intro and outro. For pictures / graphics, I typically export them from Canva.
You might be new to it now, but if you keep uploading content, you'll be fluent quickly. If you want to do anything and don't know how, there's probably a video for it on RUclips. My advice is to just have some fun with it 😁

@@WhoopedGG Thank you Sir, my first video are complete garbage, as my english after not using it for more than 10 years, but ive recorded over the weekend 11 videos ready to upload, and with every new i was more comfortable with, 2 videos a day for now, i was wondering to go polish language as in poland where im from there is 0 mechabellum content and could be first, but for now ill try english because its harder for me and i usually go harder paths :P do i need canva pro to have like arrows and letters on the screen with frames not just like text? my thumbnails are crap dont know how to put text in it, but for now ive learned how to cut background from picture so new videos will look better hm. Also should i upload with max resolution/ fps/ quality? those 4k videos takes hours to upload, people look at it? or like 1440 or 1080p is enough? Thank you for sub and answer i really appreciate everything i get!

Nice game with nice reads on the opponent (regarding selling the wasps).
In those scenarios I struggle the most with deciding between leveling my troops or spend the money to get more. Seems like I mostly do the opposite of what yi should do 😂
What was your reasoning to not leveling your troops here? How did you settle on "more" and not on "better"?

That is a great question. There are no set-in-stone rules in Mechabellum. It's a very situational game. That said, my overall philosophy is to generally not upgrade chaff, not upgrade utility, not upgrade chaff clear, and instead, focus on investing supplies into my carry units.
That being said, there are several instances where I break these guidelines, and it probably happens every game. It really comes down to what I believe is the priority, as well as what opportunities present themselves.
I'll give a few examples: typically I don't upgrade chaff. However, what if the opponent flanks with Crawlers and I have Crawlers nearby that can be upgraded? The thought process would be, (1) should I upgrade them to level 2 so we can win easier and get to the main fight quicker? And (2), what if I upgrade these and tech into Replicate? Or maybe the opponent has level 2 Crawlers with Replicate and I want to upgrade mine and tech into Impact Drill as a response. Or it can be that your opponent has level one Arclights and is struggling already to clear chaff, so you upgrade your Crawlers to level 2 so he cannot one-shot them--which puts him even further behind. There are thousands of different scenarios we might face on a game-to-game basis. It kind of just boils down to a mental calculation of what you prioritize the most with the limited budget you have.
Another example is chaff clear--if Arclights are my chaff clear and they're doing fine as-is, there really isn't a need to upgrade them, especially if they're dying pretty regularly--as it would just give the opponent more XP for not a lot of benefit. That said, I often upgrade my Arclights because sometimes I want their damage to be a part of my win condition, or I want to upgrade them to take advantage of the Armor Enhancement tech.
Sometimes, you'll put levels into something like Wasps, Jump Drive them around, and then sell it when your opponent over-commits. The reason is because you will get your supplies back (except for the Jump Drive). So if you get a big unit in a drop, it's common to see people upgrade it--but not tech into it--so that they aren't "committed" to going in that direction.
If you're still reading this, I apologize for the chapter book. I'll explain my decisions now:
I wanted to upgrade my Scorpions. They were a big part of my win condition. I didn't upgrade them because I felt like I had the lead and I thought that one of the only ways my opponent can get me in a rough spot was to use abilities and/or fire. So at the time, I prioritized defending against one of my biggest weaknesses instead of bolstering my DPS.
I hope this makes sense. Thank you for the question.

@@WhoopedGG Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question in such detail! I really appreciate that! Makes total sense when you put it that way.
I guess most of the time I already follow through with your overall philosophy. The more I think about it the more I guess my main problem here is that I can't alwys figure out what my win condition is. I play mostly reactive so my carry probably changes from round to round which leads to unit levels all over the place with no clear goal of winning. I think I have to dig deeper into that.
Thank you for your eye-opening reply!
