    This bike isn't just for rich guys that don't see dirt. In 2004 Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman took two of these from London to New York City east through Europe, Russia, Mongolia, Siberia (which no one said they could do) and the all the way through Alaska and the continental US. If that's not enough, in 2007 they went from northern Scotland to the most southern tip of South Africa on newer version of this bike. They chose this bike over any other bike manufacturer.

    I rode that same bike a few weeks back, it was awesome. I love the ergonomics and the lightness in the corners. I have the 2015rt and would rather have the GSA. I am 5'11 and fit much better on this bike, even though i would never take it off road i would rather tour with the GSA. Thanks for the video, great job.

    As a 2014 GSA owner, I'll just comment that the headlights on the videos look like they're blinking-like it's a safety light .45 secs in. This is only due to the speed of the camera on the LED light. It stays on solid on the bike. I didn't notice that until I was taking pictures of my bike when it was idling.

      In fact, as long as you dont go on a trip around the world, go for the standard-GS. It can do everything tge GSA can do but weighs around 30-40kg (60-80lbs) less. Far easier to handle in daily use.

    I really enjoyed the GS when I test rode it a few times.
    I did notice that if you try and use the quick shifter from 1st to 2nd, it gives you a violent jerk because of the shaft drive.
    Other than that, I LOVE the GS and the GSA. I only wish I was about a foot taller LOL!

    • @CNCycle
      @CNCycle  8 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the note. You are correct about the quick shifter! I actually said this in the video and cut it because it was getting too long. My bike doesn't do that. It is tall.

    • @madmikel9024
      @madmikel9024 8 лет назад

      Yes it is but it will also "do" a damn fine job of draining your bank account. There is a bike that they sell here in the US that is little known or talked about for some unknown reason, but is highly admired in Europe. It is definitely a do all bike. Comfortable, powerful, easy to ride how you feel riding it (instead of the bike making ride a certain way) AND it cost less then half the $$ as the bike in this video......... and it will leave a certain Canadian fellow in the dust off the line ; )

    • @madmikel9024
      @madmikel9024 8 лет назад

      .....All that said, It is a damn fine looking bike. If I was a rich old guy I'd probably buy it too and pop out for coffee on it. But as of right now I only have half of that equation down.

    • @CNCycle
      @CNCycle  8 лет назад

      So.....what is this bike you speak of??

    • @madmikel9024
      @madmikel9024 8 лет назад

      This bike is none other than the Suzuki Bandit. The original hooligan bike. Both the 600 and the 1200. No need for fancy clutch play to pop a wheelie, just twist the F'n throttle (in first, second....third). Old school, 4 carbs, inline four, air and oil cooled block of torque between your legs......until the 2007 model came around. If you haven't yet, for the love of god man go ride one!

      My guess is that the extra fuel capacity on the adventure model is for the ability to ride in remote locations without fear of running out of fuel where a tow truck and fuel delivery is not possible. It's an awesome bike and I look forward to test riding one this summer - especially after having a full day of fun on my friend's Yamaha Super Tenere. Made me realize what a fool I was for judging a book by it's cover and not thinking these types of bikes would be fun or wouldn't handle well. I couldn't be more wrong about that.

Imma go and see if I can get a test ride on one of these babies. My private bike, an old '94 CBR 1000 F, broke down two months ago...
