this might be my fav video yet. Everyone unboxes and talks about how beautiful shoes are when new, but showing at them how they are age a few months/years of hard wearing, is what all shoe lovers want to see.
Nice collection but I’m amazed you don’t look after them better! Not sure you had shoe trees in all of them (not in the Molton but I think in the Tetbury?) and you haven’t ‘polished’ any of them?? Introduce yourself to Saphir Medaille D’or, works wonders. For the Molton use dubbin and work in with your fingers.
Visit the factory shop in Northamptonshire for a bargain, got my rough out suede Coniston there in December for £275 and a Chelsea in tan for £245 well worth a visit
Suede is just an open leather; You should be brushing them regularly with a suede brush, to keep the nap (stop it going flat and shiny) and a bit of suede cleaner wouldn't go a miss. Lovely selection.
Great collection! I was wondering the fit of Islay; are they as voluminous to size down as recommended by C&J? Do you feel half size bigger than other lasts? Any insight would be appreciated!
Hi I was interested in buying the Snowden’s but not sure if I have the time to go to a shop and try them on would you say they are true to size and in your opinion are they narrow or roomy across the foot as my feet are wide ?
If you have other C&J boots then I’d say get the same size as all mine are the same. Ideally spending that much on a boot I’d say go to the store and try them on to avoid potential disappointment. Thanks for watching!
Great collection! Are they all the same size ? How about the amount of space in Molton for length ? Are they all comfortable or would you change size after time in any pair ?
They are all the same size. The only pair I find uncomfortable sometimes are the Snowdon pair but I think it’s because the leather is firmer so still breaking in. The Snowdon improved over time but potentially I could have gone half size bigger.
@@MrNegroni i found the snowdons to almost be 1/4 size too big for me when sizing the same as regular. shaft seems softer than coniston but the sole for sure will need longer than usual to break in.
I’d say the Coniston would be the best for that. It’s a really good walking boot but also can easily fit in if you visit smart restaurants, bars or other places.
Really nice collection, although you seem to be proud of not taking care of your boots!’😮 they look rather unloved!! Unpolished, dried and without shoe trees!!!😢
I'd be embarrassed to show this video if they were mine, I treat my Crockett and Jones boots to saphir products after every 7-8 wears and store in boot tree's a couple of pairs of my Crockett and Jones boots are 30 odd year's old and still in fantastic condition

I'm lusting after that pair of Islay, only pair of C&J I have are a pair of Westfield dark brown brogue oxfords, and the fit is fantastic.

I just got a pair of the same Islays two weeks ago on Jermyn street. They're up to 595 now!
The Coniston is now £560!

Great boots, I’ve got a pair of Chiltens, Eskdale and Skye. Love all of them.
Love all 5 shoes and boots 👍
Thanks for your update

Very nice I like the first pair best
You tallking about the chukkas?
I like the Molton - very nice 👍🏻
Yeah Molton are the ones I wear the most. Thanks for watching!
Nice! You have a good rotation.
Thanks. Which is your favorite model?
I’m looking to purchase them do they fit to size or should I order half size down? Thanks. Nice collections ❤️
Great video. Just a question on sizing for your Moltons. Are they true to size? And how you find the fit? Thanks. 😊
Nice collection. Seems that you don’t wear the boots a lot.
Agree with your opinion on Coniston.
Wear them quite a bit but since only in the city they stay really good condition. Thanks for watching!
Which one has the most toe room at same size (not ball or instep)?

I should do a video on the Islay. I find the fit the same as all the other Crockett And Jones models.
its broader in the toe area but that just makes it my winter boot because i can fit thicker socks without squeezing my toes. i did not size down.
Check our their Lingfield
That’s a Chelsea boot right?

how do you keep the tongue from shifting to the side during wear
Well I wear boots pretty snug so I find they don’t shift much when I’m wearing actually.
Which boots would you wearing for day out walking out exploring city thanks

@@MrNegroni Could you also use the Molton ?
Would you say the snowdon is the best country boot ?
Yes, it’s definitely the toughest with best grip.
Beautiful shoes but please accept the suggestion that you should take better care of the leather.
Haha yes I’m taking them in for a polish soon.
