Samar, Calbayog the electric bill is out of control. 9200 last month 10,400 this month. Used less and paying more, it's just adjusted nonstop. Time to get hot and sweaty. lol
Same here in GA. Many time it's less than $100. Depends if I crank up the AC in the days. I realized the warmer I let it get the less clothing my Thai wife wears and that's fine with me. LOL 😏
$69 last month here in Phoenix. I insulated walls to 8" thick and R-80 in attic with some radiant barrier. I haven't run the AC in 3 weeks despite highs 105-110 F because lower sun, shorter daylight and cooler night temps... I open all doors and windows all night.
The Board of Directors at my old apartment in Manila informed after I moved out my landlord had several apartments of hers on my electric. Anytime money is involved, expect shady shit
Start Reading Your Meter, and look to see if anyone is mooching power... How many A/Cs are you running and how often? Also cooking with Electric is expensive.
I was there in Cebu for 6 months and had to pay electricity at my place, a one room studio back in 2016, and it was $100/mo. Love the PH and people but couldn't take the daily real feel temperature of 95-105 and 90% humidity. I'm back in the USA with my honey.
The bill seems just right. 1. Two air-cons running many hours of the day 2. House not insulated 3. House not weatherized 4. Rice cooking everyday 5. All sorts of electronics charging all day. 6. 5 people's body heat in the house 7. Kids probably opening and shutting the doors.
I put a 2.5 HP split aircon in our new built house in 2018 , we also have a well with power pumb 220 Volt plus cooler for sari sari and fridge and 2 tvs and all normal things . I ran that 2.5 hp 24/7 for a month and my bill was just umder 20k , we went to the office and they said pay up lol. I figured out why the power is high here , your meter is supose to be 100 amp but its really only 86 amps .You can get 2 meters so if you are building you should look into that because they wont give you a 200 amp.meter for a house build .This year I put a smaller split in our bedroom and use it mostly , its 1 hp and my bill runs between 5500 to 7500 pesos a month now .
Paint the roof white and install a few solar panels up there. While the sun is shining the panels will run a couple of DC fans. Panels will also cast some shade on the roof. Soak your feet and use wet towel around your neck.
Our SDG&E bill last month was well over $300 and yes, it was very hot and we ran the A/C day and night! We already have solar power panels for the past ten years and they covered our bills for many years but they’re not doing enough now because SDG&E keeps raising rates on power we used but not on power we generate and send to the grid. We recently contracted to have additional panels installed because we’d rather pay for power panels than simply throwing money away on electricity and not having anything afterwards to show for it!
Wow! Your electricity is extremely expensive. Here in Australia we pay around 3000php/mth for electricity in a 3 bed house. Our bills are quarterly so we pay around 9-10,000php a quarter, or 40,000php a year.
I live and cook full time in my little 48sqm place in Thailand and its around 1000 baht a month, literally doubled in price over the last 3 years, but yeh considerably cheaper than the 10k there. Strap a dynamo to Fatimas bouncing leg and get a pedal bike/dynamo set up for the others to burn calories and generate electric 🤣
So your RIF the ricecooker didnt work out. You better check your line to the meter. Maybe you sponsor a neighbour thats tapping your line. Would not be the first time in the PH.

Here in the midwest, once the corn is up and it gets real hot, the corn starts sweating and it becomes miserable. If you don't run the ac, your house will start to rot. Mold will take over. That's why a house that is left empty for a few years is destroyed very quickly.
If u build your own house you can double wall and infill with sand (though maybe unnecessary). Then insulate above the ceiling. You can have plastic strips after the front door to block air loss.
Here in Bohol, we have no AC units in our old provincial house. Tin roof, no insulation, no ceiling and we get by using fans. Sure its hot but we make it thru the day fine. Lots of ice water each day. The electric bill for us is 1500 php. The ladies will get by, because they grew up with never having AC.

In Thailand I need round about 700 KwH per month and I only have one AC. 1 KwH is between 4-5 Baht. I cant remember how much I payd in Davao in February 2024. I only use AC in rooms at temperatures above 30 degrees. I feel most comfortable at 26/27 degrees Celsius.
I had a split unit installed in our room and our bill only went up 900 pesos. The rest of the house is hot like an oven but the split units are way more efficient bro. We run the aircon from noon to around 4an. We have 3 tv's and the rice cooker.
My rules were fans during the daytime and ac only at night. LOL you're living in the PI make sure no one is tapped into your lines. I found that once. Ripped it out and knocked on my neighbors door, handed them a roll of wire and said next time I connect it to your front door gate.

I run my central AC here in Pattaya 24/7, keep it on a steady 22 degrees. My bill last month was B3,703, so about $115 at todays absolute shit exchange rate and being whacked at the government rate for electricity. Still about a third of what I averaged in Central Florida cooling an apartment of the same size as my 99SQM condo.
I've lowered my bill by a 3rd this month. I bought a new air-con. We had two before, only one now. The new one has a bigger motor, more HP and has the inverter, makes a big difference. It has many different settings like an ECO feature. (Edit) Just got our bill. Were down from 15.000 php to 9.000 php. This coming month should be even lower
My electric bill in the Philippines was typically around 12k pesos a month for 1,000 sq fr using 3 dual LG window units. 1 was on 24/7, the other 2, 12 hrs a day. My bill was about $240 USD’s. Now I’m back in TX in 2,500 sq ft with the central air running 24/7 and it cost me $280 USD’s. I have over twice the space here and it’s hotter in Texas for only a few dollars more. Of course my rent is 6x more. lol.

My aircon in Kansas City is about $130 a month, and it runs a fair amount since I'm on the 3rd floor. However, during the Fall and Winter, I don't have to ever turn my heat on as, again, I'm on the 3rd floor. Heat rises and I get everyone else's efforts. Electricity is expensive in the Philippines. When I was there, I lived in an expensive AirBnB in Pasig. When I return early / mid 2025, I will only run the aircon to remove the humidity and acclimate to those temps, using a fan of course, to cool me down. It's not the heat, it's the humidity that needs to be controlled, in my opinion. My girl wants me to live with her out in the Provence and when I did a Google street view to check out my potential new neighborhood, I was horrifyingly, shocked. I wasn't sure if I was in Haiti, Gaza or the Philippines. It looks scary and, honestly, uninhabitable to western men. Nothing but love and respect to the people of the Philippines, but, these beautiful people have it rough, at least through the eyes of western sensibilities. I'm in my mid 50s, ample income, but I want to spend smartly while there, not stupidly like my other army buddies who blow $100 USD a night in Makati the 1st week of their pay until they realize, they are going to go broke. Loving the channel. Learning a lot and paying very close attention to everything he talks about and shares. I'm sick of toxic American women and high prices. Thanks for the video!
Been here 15 years already, paid cash for my house. I don't run aircons, waste of money, fans only, electric 3500 php, water is free, had a well built, fast Internet only 100php a week, get my load at the gas station, life is great my friends, I run solar lights on my property, 1000 php a year property taxes, you can live great in the Philippines with very little money if your smart
I was paying 4K a month in Dumaguete, running Aircon at night in one bedroom and almost all the time in the other. Our current bill in Nashville was 102 bucks for 698 KWH, but 25 bucks of that were service charges and taxes. KWH 11.1 cents per here. Very cheap! Also not very hot!
@@richardroy6179 Very cheap. Actually since we wrecked all our nuclear power plants in Germany I have to pay 38 €-Cent per KwH :) but only 85€ per year service charge. Last year we had to pay 32 €-Cent per KwH but 211€ service charge :)
Wow. I haven't got this month's electric bill yet. August electric bill was 3020pesos. In Angeles Pampanga. Running a fridge, rice cooker, lights, fans and the aircon almost all the time. Let's just say when I'm in the condo the aircon is on. So 15 hours a day of aircon and still less than a third of the King's bill. My goodness. I charge phones, laptop, headphones and whatever. The ladies need to shift to the beach to cooldown or something. I get out of the condo during the hottest part of the day. No aircon on during that time.
The type of windows you have will let out the cold air from your AC. And warm air from outside in. My experience with a ceiling fan. Is that they work OK. Great video!
You have a hat on? Most heat loss? Each person is 100W or 0.1Kw. I was once working late in the offfice, overheating issues with servers, so yes, midnight in underpants. Then there was a ghost and temperature plummeted lol.

I had used large PC fans and had 4 10inch fans exhausting the hot air out of the room and it seemed to help. At the moment using 1 split type ac and billing is sitting at $80mo 🤷♂️ kepp safe and cool out there ✌️
You have a lodge combo cooker and dutch oven. You could show us how bread bakes there in the Philippines. Lots cheaper to make it from scratch. Bread for the whole family to go with one of your great soups.
Wish my water bill was $10 a month. I pay nearly $100 a month for water. Can't complain to much about my electric bill though it averages around $80 a month. But I also live very modestly. I limit the large appliance use as much as I can. The hell with a big ol stove. A single burner I pay $20 for works fine for me.
Check if anyone else is using your electricity also buy a diesel generator or solar generator to solve your energy expenses. If you can afford it then your families comfort is more important than money.
Our light bill this month in the province was 11,000 and that was with brown outs. Told my wife they were scamming us lol. When we were in the city we ran ac 24/7 and when we had guest they ran their ac. Monthly bill was 6000-7000 pesos a month....

I know you rent but would it be worth it to insulate the roof. Seal up the windows and doors. The hardest thing to do is keep them from leaving the doors open. You are also cooling how many hot people. You are fighting a losing battle. Until they pay for the electric they really don't care. If they pay nothing gets turned on.
I have been retiired in Mandaue city just outside cebu for a couple years.. I have a small one bedroom apartment with a split aircon that I mostly keep on 24-7. my rent is 11,000 and my electric bill was 13,332,water is always around 300 something. The landlord recently raised the price of power to 16.2 pesos per kwh. I have a projector that I run a lot that draws about 200 W and a small computer that draws less than 20 W , a fairly large fridge, a washing machine, an induction cooker and a microwave.. It was running as high as 28,000 for power and rent during the hottest part of this summer. I work nights for a US outsourcing company. I have decided to start turning the aircon and everything else off when I go to bed between 6-7 am . I figure it will not bother me to be hot when I am asleep.. Prices are crazy outside subic freeport ..I will premise we are in the freeport area…my rent is 10x yours lol 😂
9k is a lot of money. A Filipino can live on 3k for an entire month!
The AC is a luxury for the women. They grew up w/o AC. Teach them, Marcos 😎 Good luck! ☺️
Marcos would have to suffer too
My aircon in Kansas City is about $130 a month, and it runs a fair amount since I'm on the 3rd floor.
Maybe time for a move. In Baguio you don’t need AC as much.
Yes! Words of wisdom.
I totally am in alignment with your focus.
Sounds like what we are planning.
It’s ok if you have to pinch pesos! However you can’t take your money with you and I rather live comfortably
Hi Flo! I like the way she dresses sometimes , a real mama in Pinas.
Been cooking rice with gas for my whole life and I am not Asian 😂😂
Same problem... before it was 800-1k but now in our new house we rented it's 3500+ ...it's too much for just 2 people in the house w/o kids😮💨
Don't allow soap opera on midday the ladies go to the park.
The type of windows you have will let out the cold air from your AC. And warm air from outside in.
My experience with a ceiling fan. Is that they work OK.
Great video!
If I lived like you do, I would build a wood fired pizza oven (rocks and concrete). Pizza is cheap to make and tastes great.
$177 dollars will buy a lot of whitening cream 👀 Whoop-Whoop🤑
😂
Hey King I’m waiting on my light bill in. Imus Cavite. My rent is 10k I’m sure it’s going to be higher.
You have a hat on? Most heat loss? Each person is 100W or 0.1Kw. I was once working late in the offfice, overheating issues with servers, so yes, midnight in underpants. Then there was a ghost and temperature plummeted lol.
King Bee Stacker checking in via my kids RUclips account due to a dead cell phone
Who's taking bets on whether they make the 5K bill or not?
Angelees city here 2 years , 2 floors, two bedrooms, 2 bedrooms. Bedroom aircon on 24/7 . Light bill yesterday was 8k . Never been over 8.7k . I didnt come to be Tarzan and sweaty Jane . Also fridge, hot showers, ac in each room . I could never live in jungle, not for any woman on earth. I dont see a single reason u would live there. I met you last year at Drake . Soon u be back !! Your way to close to village. Send up flares so we can send choppers to rescue u. Remember i predict u be coming back soon. Nothing there . Read ur first book.
I had used large PC fans and had 4 10inch fans exhausting the hot air out of the room and it seemed to help. At the moment using 1 split type ac and billing is sitting at $80mo 🤷♂️ kepp safe and cool out there ✌️
You're a very good father Marcos keep doing what you do
What size fur coat do you need lol. I have thrift shops all around me.
Boy . good luck with the cut back...
U really got a lot of folks to care for......
Best Wishes.
Smitty, Metro Cebu
How about a big swamp cooler?
Check if anyone else is using your electricity also buy a diesel generator or solar generator to solve your energy expenses. If you can afford it then your families comfort is more important than money.
Great video King ,your in the entertainment business and U kick butt...hilarious.
Beautiful smile on the misses
Enjoy
Lol..avg electric bill in southeast Texas is $ 283 ( most of the time more) late September and its still in the 90's 😰... great video
Husband speaking age 81.9 we only use AC at night but our bill is always 10k at least.
"Bread Budget" 😂🤣
You crack me up!
Our light bill this month in the province was 11,000 and that was with brown outs. Told my wife they were scamming us lol. When we were in the city we ran ac 24/7 and when we had guest they ran their ac. Monthly bill was 6000-7000 pesos a month....
Ref's don't use much UNLESSS that there door opening and closing 4 thousand times a day :) Lock that ref door
11 cents. Usd. At my place in davao that's with aircon and 24/7 tvs and lights on. Swapping between solar & wind turbines.
2 solar panels, a deep cycle marine battery and a pure sine inverter will run the AC during the day,,ill be making 2 setups minus the battery to bring for our move..Will be there end of November,,will have your DJT hat I got at his Dayton rally with me,,figure a way to get it to ya..
Have you watched the series 1883 with Sam Elliot and Tim McGraw ? I always hear you talking about Montana and that show was well done . All the best Mr mark
Rent rentals better have own small property...than rental.. Use solar panels.. Also.. Only pay electric bill foodstuff...
Our bill this month is 6,213 pesos for 541 kw, last month was 6,600. Run 1hp split inverter 24/7 and another 1hp split inverter 10 hours a day. Rice cooker, refrigerator, hot water dispenser, iron, 2 ceiling fans and several out side lights on all night. Tv is on from morning to bedtime.
In Daanbantayan our highest electric bill was about 13k peso running 3 air con and huge ref. The biggest expense there.
BTW any good massage place in Daanbantayan or Bogo? Asking for a friend.
I like you guys style.😊.very down to earth ..the hat with glasses...really cool. 👌
Anyway to insulate the Hot Tin Roof?
So can you keep the lights off in the daytime and watch the TV with the lights off.
Your bill my light is 11,000 paso the highest since I been here
Have a service tech clean and check the air conditioners.
Hey Marcos you are looking much thinner nice work. My electric bill here in Huntington Beach California is about $80 but we don't need AC😅
My last month electric bill was over 300.00 in northern ca, so I got you beat.

Jax on the scene #1
My electric was 130 USD this month running ac cooling my house to 69 f plus charging my electric car.
What it is? What is was? And what it will be….king I’m your color and your age from Jersey and we grew up saying the same stuff to your friends joking around. Some people don’t get it… 🇺🇸👊💯
I know you rent but would it be worth it to insulate the roof. Seal up the windows and doors. The hardest thing to do is keep them from leaving the doors open. You are also cooling how many hot people. You are fighting a losing battle. Until they pay for the electric they really don't care. If they pay nothing gets turned on.
Whole family come and go and of course devises are plugged😂😂
I already wear just shorts in the house. I would be happy to shave off 5,000 from the power bill by sleeping with no aircon. Good luck with your conservation measures.
How does the landlord have control over the power? Tell him to go f' himself, you pay what the utility company charges!!!!
Landlord has no say on power bill.
