My momma made her scalloped potatoes just like this minus the ham and she added garlic between the layers and instead of mixing the flour in she sprinkled flour between the layers. It was yummy as a side to ham and baked beans.

I think this recipe needs some changes even though it was really good…. Mmm mmm mummm!This recipe is sort of like potatoes au gratin with ham. It is also sort of like scalloped potatoes. Once you put all the cheese, it becomes au gratin potatoes. I love the way it looks and the way you make it. I can't wait to make this. I will have to leave out the dill. No one over here loves Dill seasoning.

Second, when you said something about the cheese separating, I was gonna suggest maybe that "other" cheese, and then you went and said that name out loud!!!! 😯 To make it even worse, you said it a second time. 😵 This video was worth watching for that alone, lol. It's the milk causing the issue not the cheese. If you use cream, half and half, or evaporated milk, that shouldn't happen. Basically, the milk curdled
yum! I'm with you... Velveeta would be creamier! my mom used to cook her milk and flour on the stove and butter ... veschemel sauce sort of... maybe it might not separate but... as long as it tastes good! I'm for easy peasy too!
Looks delicious but I'd have to use regular butter not margarine because that is why it looks like a lot. You ever melt margarine and when it sets it separates. That's kinda what that is doing.

I was going to tell you, that if you added some Velveta to your milk and heated it up to make a Cheese sauce you would get a creamy dish. Don’t go Full Velveta. Do about 1/3 Velveta and 2/3 Cheddar This way you’ll have creamy and real Cheddar Flavour! And less Butter! 🙄🤦♂️🙄🤦♂️
