  • Here comes Benchmade again with a lightweight Grivory handled Axis lock in CPM-D2. Not nearly the same as ingot D2. Finer grain, still tough and increased edge holding, courtesy of Crucible's powder metalurgy!

It's a very cool design. It to me seems like the love child of the bugout and griptillian. Great video 👍

I look forward to your videos every morning! Your knife knowledge is impeccable! I love when you give a brief backstory on the maker, or the name of the knife.

Bought two of these. One for carry, one for the truck. The carry knife has replaced the Spartan SHF, for the time being anyway. Nice blade, much lighter, hand filling, very grippy. Thanks for the review!

I think the term you were looking for was "waffle texture"? :) I am sure Flytanium and others will come out with a plethora of scales, inserts, thumb studs, etc. I like my Redoubt, great aesthetics, ergos, etc. But, like many others, I feel it is on the expensive side. Thanks for the review! Also, I believe the pocket clip is "parkerized"

This knife runs on washers. Big washers if you're used to Spyderco knives. I was surprised at the size when I took mine apart this afternoon (07/11/2024).

Mine cannot be drop-shut without play in the blade. If your knife develops lock rock, try tightening the screws on the handle. Mine were a bit loose on the back end of the partial liners. I need to snap-close mine but with not too much effort. Really love my 551 Griptilian and my Redoubt.

Thanks very much for your info! I find with most knives that they need a bit of adjustment whether the pivot screw, just breaking in, or other adjustments including the detent. When a knife is perfect out of the box that's certainly a treat! 😁

@@OGBladeReviews Also try tightening the screws of the blade stop. I think those were the main ones that caused it. Sorry. Having said all that, I love the knife.

Its the t6 hardware that kills it for me on benchmade.

It's nice but not worth 160$just a supeup griptilian.really not much better..the steel should be 20cv.or better..just don't cut it for me I'll pass.
