Yeah, I know...i hate the vids where they just show the b4 and after and the parts but dont show the work, u know, how they did it, the most imp. Part that has U cussing every other word..jaja
Thank you for making this video. One thing I did that I noticed you didn’t was I put electrical tape over the connectors where the new plug was spliced in. Helps keep moisture out
Excellent clear video. One thing, those wire connectors were heat shrink connectors. If you heated them, they would have shrunk and sealed around the wire. You can identify them by their translucent color.
11:31 I was wondering what that mini thing is sticking out south of the fuel sending unit. it has a line connecting to the middle of the fuel sending unit and has a weird cliped line that connects to the lipped and angled spout. I broke mine while replacing and cant find the name of the sub assembly or the part. 2003 chevy blazer ls 2 door. Thanks!
Thanks for the great video love how you explained everything in great detail it’s was very easy to follow along in your very great video and I now know how to take my tank off of my Chevy s10 blazer thanks again 😊
Have a 1998 Chevy blazer, fuel pump keeps going out, this time we changed the fuel pump and now you can hear the pump powering on and everything but now still not cranking, any suggestions?

Have to access the fuel pump pressure sensor and was debating about dropping tank vs. pulling up bed.. after seeing this video -- dropping the tank appears to be the way that I will go. will comment further after I get this done.
Took me a month to get to this job on my 2003 GMC Sonoma pickup -- and after having watched this video -- I began the process to lower the fuel tank to gain access my fuel pressure sensor... but the 15 mm nut connecting the front fuel tank strap was rusted solid... and since this is a pickup truck -- I elected to opt for plan B and remove the bed... "Removing the bed" -- really tilting the bed -- worked fantastic for me - There are eight (8) frame to bed bolts.. - fully remove the front 6 bolts; loosen the rearmost 2 bolts about an inch and then tilt the truck bed and insert 10 inch 2x4's in the front "channel" to keep the bed up. This provides excellent access to the sensor and the fuel pump.. - there is another video that I watched that employed this method... but if your vehicle isn't a pickup -- dropping the tank may be the only way.. Another pit of misery moment with this job.... in trying to pry out the pressure sensor -- the plastic stem that sits into the fuel pump; cracked in the fuel pump... but this sensor is designed with a small diameter hole and I inserted a sheet rock screw into the remains of the plastic stem (have to give me brother credit for this fix) and was able to back out the cracked piece... Great video.
Ok i took the pump out but the fuel line connectors I broke the one that goes to the rear. How do I take the nylon tubing off the metal tubing and replace the plastic connector and nylon tubing ??
It is safer to use a brass wedge or punch to pound the gas pump ring to move. That way there is no possibility of a spark. You never know and you have gas fumes and gas in the tank;
My pump came with a new pig tail and connector. My wire colors on the pigtail are white/black, grey, purple, black. My harness is Orange/black, grey, purple, black. No idea which colors splice together.
My mechenic installed three delpi fuel pumps in four months. They all had a faulty check valve.leaking back in the tank. Not leaking in injectors or pressure regular.Or lines.Has anyone else had that problem? What could cause it?
They use different tanks for the newer S10s, 94-95 and maybe 96 uses a 20 gallon tank that doesn't have the small fuel neck next to the main filler neck. Connectors are different as well and the newer S10s use a 18.5 gallon tank.
Neither this tank nor pump is ANTHING like that on MY 2 door '93 S10 Blazer (Tahoe LT)! My tank is at the very rear, and the pump has steel tubing with threaded compression fittings, not plastic tubes or push on fittings. Just fyi..
The new sender on the new pump could be bad, or its the gauge itself. Also check for any shorts in the wires from the tank to the dash. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros I found it some units come with gas pressure sensor which is the black plug and some don’t it’s removable so you can just use your old one from the old unit
@@2carpros then you explain why my my 5.1994 S10 Blazer is a 1st Gen and the same chassis and parts they used from 91 to 94. @@eisernenfuchs123 negative, they changed to the generation 2 in 1994 .The 94, 95 , 96 , and 97 all look the same from the front with the rectangular sealed beam head lights. 98 -2004 they went with the curved or wrap around head lights and a rounded dash.
@@eisernenfuchs123 if you're truck is a 1st generation square body , it is that , no matter what the sticker says , but according to GMs history on the S10 , production on the Gen 2 started in 1994 , thus the rounder lines , they might have had some leftover 93s they built in 1994 till they started production on the 1994 Gen 2. Remember these trucks go by model year , thus they probably built Gen 1 and Gen 2 in the same year.
My fuel pump isn't getter full power after replacing it nothing is reading correctly and no gas is sending to the engine i already looked at all the fuses and replaced one should i replace the clip for the fuel pump itself?
This is the best video I have seen as of yet for the wiring. Nice job. It's those little details that are actually big deals.
Wow, thanks!

The plug has a rubber sealer inside it but yeah more protection is even better. Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed the way you presented this video (not dull). Although I'm still trying to find the four corners on that circle.
Thanks for watching!

Always A True Blue Electrician in the crowd..nice catch...jaja🤣
If agree due to open ended connectors n fluid....
all these examples always show a side tank, but the 2003 Blazer has a rear tank, which makes things a little confusing.
If you need to chisel, try to use a brass chisel if you have one, to avoid spark 💥

You should have sealed off the wire splices to keep water out of them. Good job.
I got the self sealing ones now! Thanks for watching!
If it is a truck tilt the bed up. So freaking easy.
I replaced my fuel pump & a new fuel filter, my truck won’t start, I have a 2000 Chevy blazer 6 cylinder. Any idea why?? The new fuel pump is working
Some with me. I can't get any power reading off any wires going to the pump. And that's when the key is turned forward enough to power the dash
Did you figure it out? Having the same issue I think it’s the lock ring not creating a perfect seal.
My pump didn't come with the instructions, would someone mind posting a picture or PDF link of the harness connections?
Mine didn't either. I'm having a lot of trouble matching my wires up. How did you figure it out?
Match the letters from the old connector to the new one... ABCD
What would cause gas to leak while refueling after installing?
You might not have put the hose from the body to the tank on quite right. Thanks for watching!

Amazon says this pump assembly does not fit my 1994 ZR2 4.3L.
I wonder if the ZR2 package changes something. Just filter by your truck then. The process is exactly the same. Thanks for watching!
