Got the phone two weeks ago in a great black Friday deal from local dealer. It replaced my flagship MX4 Pro from ~3 years ago. The entire phone feels very prestige and the hardware doesn't disappoint. You get what you pay for.

How is Meizu when it comes to software bugs? Do they regularly fix them? I had a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X and I had to get rid of it because of microphone software issues that were overlooked for 3 updates. Wondering what Meizu is like with those.
Mori no Ando yes they regulary fix them in my room version i am using a meizu metal and i like it. Meizu for me is a very good company y love meizu
Mori no Ando most custom rom users regard flyme as one of the best os. i too am a meizu user. meizu is underrated . proper build, good features. haven't had a problem since 2 years,none!. since meizu has less phones their software updates are pretty much on time and they also rectify problems based on their users.
Mori no Ando I have a meizu pro 5 and it doesn't have any problem with the hardware but keep in mind it has the exynos processor but there are some problems in software like instagram always crash after using it for more than five minutes but they just released a beta update to android 7 and it is running fine now but it is not yet released internationaly mine is a Chinese version
SingleKing it doesn't for people who only use social media, browse, take pics, but it's a problem for root users since MTK processors are easily brickable and hard to work with

Meizu is a great company which is undervalued.
This feature seems more useful then what I thought it could do. I think if Meizu can make a bezel less version of this phone without a front facing camera it could really compete with the best smartphones out there. But right now, not really

Long story short I bought my girl the Meizu Pro 7 and she is very happy with it.

I think some high end phones should start to include all cameras and sensors on front, we will be getting under display fingerprint sensors very soon and with software tricks you can easily make the cutouts in the top for (2) cameras and whatever else blend in and compliment the OS. Yeah you might lose 7% real estate but then we can get to that 90%+ screen to body ratio. That leaves the back completely empty and able to fit massive batteries.. At least until the time being since new battery tech is years away..
But really if all the action is done on the front, there's no need to have (3) cameras on a device. Really only (2) pixel 2 (or whatever top of line modules) camera modules on the front. That allows you to use the display to center things up for a shot.
As far a night shots, there are almost endless options for led arrangements that they can easily fit a slim led on top and also utilizing the screen for lighting as well, and that would really be a selfie/vlog king.. I know there are phones out now that use the screen backlight for added light, but surprised there aren't phones that have a flagship level selfie shooter on the front and one that uses software to keep the display from going past a certain brightness in normal use and gets crazy insane bright for the only instant of taking a picture in the dark.. Which I'd imagine is very possible...
As far as this phone goes, I think it's a little much and more geared towards people that want to say they have two screens on their phones.. But I do like the idea and think it's cool as a concept. I don't think this phone will do much success but they can definitely use users opinions to perfect their concept.. I can see using the 2nd screen for battery savings, but IMO as small as it is, it's only really good for taking selfies.
Now something like the Yoda phone was clever. With a completely battery saving 2nd display that could be used almost by itself and leaving the color display off completely.

That all ready exists thanks to the advanced ways of ZTE the two screens have a special virtual button for the screens it also includes using different app on the other screen then the other option for the Duel screens mirroring your screen for if like you want to share the same screen, compared to other phones you have to put your phone tilted but with the new ZTE now you don't need to do that! Option three, the third option allows you to make your screen size increase from short to wider (note:some apps are forced into landscape mode because of the gain of screen size). Downside about the phone is that you need to open the second screen for the camera. (I think forgot some details sorry!)

I think LG will keep hold of the jack headphone connector for at least a few more years. They're huge on the quad-DAC thing which then makes sense that they would at least keep the headphone jack for maybe another decade?

I am up to date on the new phones you showcase now, but this phone... it keeps calling to me. Slightly bigger screen than the S7edge, 128GB internal, USB-C, a home button that does it all, it's very appealing. More so than most phones nowadays. Maybe I'll buy it.
