- This is the first song Gealdýr created and it's based on the rune Othala. The meaning of the rune Othala is literally homeland or ancestral spiritual power. Othala is created to give you an ambient atmosphere where you feel the connection with nature and even perhaps your ancestral roots.

I remember one day under the trees, I closed my eyes facing the sun and suddenly I could see othala under my eyelids. The rune was vibrating and echoing and while watching it dance, the songs of birds started to make more sense. The wind in the branches, the skull of the hind before me... It was like the nature wanted to transmit something, it was a great moment of communication.
Это очень шикарная музыка. Идешь,едешь,лежишь и слушаешь. Ты так сильно погружаешься ,что аж умиротворение и будто предки прошлого с тобой хотят разговаривать. Это на столько потрясающи ,что это не сравниться ни с какой поп-музыкой ,рэп и т.д. Это очень прекрасная музыка дает задуматься ,помечтать уйти от реальности. Западная культура очень прекрасна и ее история. Я огромный фанат скандинавской мифологии и эта музыка на душу легла мне.

Being born a European on the most Southern Tip of that continent that Joseph Conrad called, "The Heart of Darkness" - being surrounded by strange faces, strange tongues and strange eyes - having one's fate determined by those that do not understand you and in many cases hate you. I yearn for a Heimatsland - Europe is my father land; Africa is my motherland and both have rejected us.
Blood, sweat and tears have been shed upon both the soils for both our mother and father in the hope that they would call-out to us - call us to come home.
But now we realise, no-one will build or protect our Heimatland - we have to build and protect it ourselves.
Othala is the search of every young European man souls. Let us rise to this opportunity to create ourselves anew.
Let us synergies the best of our past with the that of the best of present to create a new way if we are to spill our blood and sweat - let us do so for vitality and beauty of our people.

Ever since I turned 18 I've fallen in love with this type of music. When I turned 20 my soul followed the Norse religion. Even though I was born into Christianity I never felt like it was my birth religion it felt foreign. I'm 21 now and am a follower of the Norse gods. My ancestry is Scandinavian German and Irish so every bit of me isn't Christian. I'm a pagan at heart but I don't have any hate for other religions as they now have towards me now that I'm pagan. This is truly Norse Soul music thank you.
Even christian people were pagan in the past you chose the right way sir.
idk why I always know Thor even without influence of Marvel Comic,funny thing is I was raised atheist and is fully Asian in a town where majority of people believe in old folk Chinese religion and the funnier thing is that we’re in a Muslim country😂

This sounds sort of haunting. I like it. Like the winds of fate are going to change in a scene, of like a book or a movie. Where some action packed scene slows down, panning around to show everything that's happening in slow motion.
Arrows flying, swords clanging, men screaming in pain, agony, and fear and dirt flying like rain and blood flowing like a river.
For peace there must be sacrifice....

Btw, I absolutely love your songs (Ragnarök is my favourite) and I'm looking forward to hear more of it. I'm a big fan of norse mythology for years now and this kind of music is just breathtaking for me.

Yeah, I like the music video, it creates a more mythical vibe and goes well with the song. If you keep it up, you will stand at the same position as Danheim and even Wardruna some day. There has to be more content like this, cause if we listen to these shitty pop-crap of the last years, we are on the path of darkness...
@@Caspian0802 Sadly a lot of todays music is very empty so to say. It's one of the reasons I started to create Celtic/Nordic folk music. It's so rich but sadly mostly forgotten through time. But life is an ongoing cycle and you see in todays society aswell that more people are looking for their roots and trying to reconnect with nature aswell. That's what I tried to create with Othala. That deeper connection with nature that's all around us, but so few notice it.
