My only problem with the tank: The extremely limited ammo capacity. 40 would make me happy. Anyone else?
@Gutmensch Deluxe Ever ran out of ammo when playing the Hellcat, despite placing your shots more often than not?
Hellcat has the same issue. If you really want to be prepared to carry you’ll need to bring a lot more prem and probably dip into it not on purpose
would have been fine if it weren't for the low damage and penetration
40 should be enough to compensate it
Pen is also a bit lacking at tier 7, considering there are tanks like the jpanther boasting 200 or more (scorpion heat pen kinda thicc tho ngl)
But one can fit 40 in an M56/Scorpion? Lol. So weird, balancing by giving less ammo capacity.
Who's here 3 years later still appreciating the fact that WG gave us a vehicle that still holds its own even now?
QB this warrants a “Before it was nerfed” on the 2013 hellcat
the hellcat before it was nerfed had more viewrange and better APCR pen. This is a differennt tank that looks the same, plays similiarly but is weaker on a tier higher.

Also Tank Destroyers did not drop their camo rating while firing, back then. Lol I farmed with the old school Hellcat like crazy back in 2013. Used to platoon with them and wreck whole teams.

Yea. I remember the old hellcat before Nerf. It was such a beast.
2013-2014, the TDs where the ones dominating the game.
They could fire and stay undetected due to how the camo mechanics worked for them back in the day.

It would be nice, still remember getting 3 marks on the pre nerf ELC, but after the nerf I sold it instantly. But I don't think they will do it.

This tank plays exactly like I remember the old hellcat playing like. Stay hidden and far away while sniping. First battle in the tank and I had 2k+ dmg in an assault battle. So far so good. Great reward from wargaming 👍
lol today i had a "pleasure" of watching somebody in my team miss like 8 straight shots in his super hellcat while sitting in a bush against kv85 and tier 7 brit heavy FV45

They gave you the tank, not the RNG that goes with some players.
a lot of players got that tank, depend less of if they are able to think and breath at the same time or not
it was just crazy to watch that dude miss shot after shot and to have that thought spinning in my head: ffs man, this shit could happen to me at some point also..
@@markuslukschick The crazy part is they've had the game long enough to get it and still play that poorly. I hope to god that they were simply drunk and playing poorly because of that, but I doubt it.

Im good at the game but not so much that stats are all important to me
When i started playing i played on a laptop that barely pushed 15 fps and our wifi was so bad i had 200 ping at all times
Combine this with being my first mmo and i SUCKED
The m18 looked like a cool tank so i went for it, and i was trash.
I mostly play t8+, but my favorite tank is the elc amx, and ive 3 marked the stug 3 and the t-34, but i don’t enjoy just spamming gold at happy little strawberries

im a light tank/ medium tank driver and i had fun with the hellcat, its anoying that the premium pen is so low but i 3marked the tank with 68 battles playing it very agressive i averaged 1750 dmg and 700 spotting

Just got the chance to see this video. Awesome stuff. I have seven years in so I remember that pre nerf Tank Company Hellcat. The T-67, Wolverine, Jackson, Hellcat, and T-25/2 all have crew that work in the Super Hellcat perfectly.

I guess there will be a few Hellcat noobs on, but seeing how most of the people getting them may have once been good in them when they were good, probably will look forward to eating KV2s for lunch. Before Hellcat and tier 6 KV1S got nerfed, they ruled tier 6 team battles. Nobody with common sense ever brought a KV2!

@@endjfcar My reading comprehension of what I previously wrote tells me that I said there may be a few veterans of six years or more that are new to the Hellcat, but not many. By far, the majority of people who get a new Super Hellcat will have experience enough, at least six years worth, so none of them will be new to the game really, that they should understand things like map tactics, view range and game mechanics, and own the noobs who thought bringing a KV2 to a Hellcat battle would be a good idea. While I do agree that seeing a KV2 one shot derp a Hellcat would be funny, I would bet that when it comes to experienced Hellcat drivers, that something like ten or more KV2s would die to get one Hellcat derp, and that's even funnier. I also imagine in a game of 15 Hellcats VS 15 KV2s, and everybody had six years experience the KV2s should never win.
QB, the best way to deal with the hellcat in the bush is to REVERSE in just like in the batchat and speed away forward when you need to escape
The moment you started driving, I already knew I'd love this vehicle: my main and only problem with the Hellcat was its crappy agility which offsets its excellent speed.

Well said review i use it as light tank!!! I love the speed and peak and fire with this tank...i enjoy it even if i lose almost 50% of games..still trying to find best positions for this tank to peak and fire!!

but is it on tier 7 now, stat-wise, as good as it used to be on tier 6?
when i compared stats a few days ago, it seemed like it was still at somewhat post-nerf hellcat - in regards to dpm, soft stats and mobility.
the original stats of the hellcat from yesteryear would have been fine on tier 7 - this seems kind of bad.
this thing should have a bit better pen and especially more ammo... 30 shots is atrocious at that tier and with that pen.
if i am mistaken in my assumptions i am more than open to input and correction.
Yeah, I wouldn't mind the old Hellcat on T7, I'd still have loads of fun and it would be a competitive tank. However, this one feels a bit more sluggish than the old. Also, the gun accuracy is a bit worse, as is the pen............. Still, it's a free premium aaaaand it's a beautiful Hellcat, I'm happy :D
ya its still not as good as the old hellcat and stat wise this is still a t6 tank I fell after the novelty of this free tank wears off it will fell just as Nerfed as the t6 version
The dispersion values of everything changed two times, so its less accurate than it was before. The view range is kind of lacking at tier 7, and i think the old one was just a bit better at tier 6? Finally, the mobility is a tad worse from what i can tell, the gold ammo was nerfed for some reason, and its a tier higher which is a massive nerf on its own, but ESPECIALLY with the more armored opponents, new, worse accuracy and only 30 shots... Yeah, aside the HP and more ammorack and engine module HP, its a nerfed old hellcat... That's a tier higher.
yep seems like super hellcat only has its original mobility and none of its good pen. they should either give it way more ammo or buff its pen values

Nice review! I managed to play only one game in it. I really enjoyed nice mobility and dispersion.
Wish the regular hellcat had its historical speeds put back in the game.

A Hellcat with its historical speed, would be roughly equal to the tier 8 wheeled vehicles. That could make a fun td. Surely it would still be sluggish handling, for balance purposes, so why not let it move like that? It would not be able to do the whole circle of death routine. But it would be fun.

Ehm, there's the problem. The whole bloody point of a heavy is .. armor right? If premium shells would go through the front of a heavy easily, what is the point of having armor? Just make it a point and click game then. Pathetic if someone wants premium rounds to go through the front of a higher tier heavy.
Yeah well said, really what the point of driving a heavy when you trade speed for armour and your armour is negated by the press of a button? It completely. Defeats the purpose, I'm glaring directly at all the German slow vehicles, with flat and raw thick armour, there's no point when all gold shells are at 330pen to 350mm
well...unfortunately that really IS the case for 98% of all other tanks...
they just press 2 PAY MORE and pen any armor...

problem is you cant pen even weak spots...no armor, no hp, no pen...tank destroyer only as top tier...this is a large light tank not a tank destroyer

Yes. I did that, too. Concealing yourself and expanding your view range as far out as possible should be priorities with the lack of armor. Even with a deeper health pool, it doesn't take more than a couple of hits to kill you, so you don't want the enemy to see you at all if you can avoid it.
Except the poor ammo capacity, this tank is great!
I don't get it, why is everyone liking this tank? This tank is basically still a tier 6 tank in terms of its gun stats. So giving this tank better dispersion values and increased backwards speed justifies that it gets pushed to tier 7 and therefore faces tier 9? No way am I gonna play this tank, its basically playing a regular Hellcat against tier 9. This tank is just a joke in my eyes, because more often than not, u are forced to dab that 2 key, and 210 are not enough to deal with tier 9 tanks, I would say that this is just barely sufficient to fight tier 8 heavies.
It’s actually buffed tier 6. If you knew how to play the old hellcat then it might become your favourite tank.

T67 has the same crew as the HC. I moved my 6 skill crew from the T67 into the HC and back when I play the T67. It works great having the same crew.
7 years of service on PC and 5 years on Xbox. Completely agree with you on the Hellcat. Hated it since that old nerf all those years ago.
when you play super hellcat and meet tier 9 its feel like a matchmaking during 2014 hahhahaa

Honestly it’s a meh for me, I would’ve preferred the Aufklärungspanzer Panther as a reward, since I already have my none premium hellcat and already marked it, even though the superhellcat has better stats it faces tougher enemies, I like the t-50-2 better since in the past it already is considered a tier 6, in exchange for the speed it now only meets tier 8 max.
But the superhellcat is everything everyone would’ve wanted the t25/2 to be

Funny how the guns are the exact same and the premium shells are the exact same but they have different penetrations. Basically performance of tanks nowadays in WoT are concocted from pure fantasy. Nothing is based in reality anymore. Might as well be playing anime space tanks with WWII skins.

My VK 30.02D has 863 spotting and binocs. I put on my derp gun and one shot (snipe) TD's all day long and do it from halfway across the map!
Embryonic Journey sometimes used to play the old pre nerfed Hellcat in a platoon with T7 to encounter T9 to get a higher dmg. ^^
I loved my Hellcat, is/was easily my most played vehicle, but the reverse speed Nerf ruined it. This thing will be my new best friend once more. With my 6 skill crew from the Hellcat, I'm looking forward to some (op?) HellKitty action again
Saturday is going to be a blast. even if I dont get to play with you, I can test out the TOG. I know its bad, but I really like rarities, freaks and underdogs :P
I have 50%stationary concealment on it. That's nice but it needs more pen by about 20 and possibly 10 more rounds otherwise I'd say it isnt balanced that well
Hellcatt VI is almost the ONLY tank for me to play since they broke it into pieces.
I went exactly through all u talk about. This year 2019 was the worst, with winning curve going almost inverted.
And now... they through a Super Hellcat VII in game, in our garage as a gift ! Funny. So funny. Great 2e game, pushing always further.
First game I played was vs tier 9 Super heavies and a T95. I did not even bother to try firing on them. Tho... crap pen aside. It's not a bad scout with that camo and binoc combo. As that's how I've gotten XP on +2 games.
On console we just got +1 -1 matchmaking for the week and it makes the game so much better

I know exactly what I am going to do. I am going to move my hell cat crew into it and have some fun. That rev speed makes all the difference. Hell Cat is always good getting into trouble. You poke just a little bit too far. its all over your stuck. now i have a chance to back up.

Penetration is a big thing for me so im honestly not disappointed at all about missing this thing.
Oof, that penetration makes it feel like the T32 at Tier 8. Well, at least I’m used to that.
Also, I’ll continue to hope WG will give the regular Hellcat 15 reverse speed, half the speed-loss-when-turning nerf, and revert its turret dispersion values to their original ones. Then I think the Hellcat will be in a balanced position.

Ya no Super Hellcat for me, but with that penetration, i'm glad. I wasn't fond of facing t8s in my regular Hellcat, i can just imagine dealing with t9s in the Super. And alas, I work all day Saturday.
I've been playing WOT on Xbox since it was on 360, best reward I've gotten was a premium VK 36.01
I created my account in 2015 and I got these 2 tanks. The problem is that I rarely play the game I have less than 150 battles. Today I played on my friend's PC with my account. Nevertheless thanks for the tanks

I had over 4k games in the hellcat. I was so happy when they gave my hellcat back. even if its a tier higher it's fine. I have the skill in the hellcat to fight way out of my tier. I took a hellcat into t10 clan wars and usually swung way above my weight. So calling this a well-deserved reward....yeah.....yeah wargaming did it right this time. I get to drive my favorite tank again. ty wg. ty. you did well
