She moved here 19 years ago and still has a language barrier?? I learned to speak English within a year of coming to America. It's terrible what happened to her husband, but her language issue is not anyone's fault.
Yeah, you're right about that. It'd definitely help her fit in better if she learned some English, but some people are just swamped with work and too exhausted to take on anything extra. Plus, you know, there's no official language in the USA, and Spanish is pretty widespread. But still, she's sort of making excuses. She could've easily caught up with the news on Telemundo or checked it out on RUclips with auto-captions.
Why isn't the governor or mayor reaching out to her, or at least send a Spanish speaking representative?
She should learn English, you know, the language of the USA, after being here for 19 years!!!🤦🏻♂️

People that move to the US should learn how to speak English especially after 16 years and she would of heard about it sooner.

The families of the deceased deserve answers. While they rush to hurry and rebuild, where is the investigation into what the hell caused something like this to happen. I smell a coverup.
They're not rushing to rebuild anything. They're trying to clear the debri and continue with recovery.
They're dead. If they haven't showed up now, they're dead. Risking the safety of recovery agents by rushing to find DEAD bodies in debri that is still shifting and settling doesn't make sense.
Try thinking before you speak. "Cover up" You have serious mental issues.

Free ESL classes? Are you serious? I had to pay for speech therapy for my child who was born a US citizen on top of my insurance premiums. She chooses not to learn the language
