Just my opinion. On a regular voyage they are working, doing their jobs and know when you are due to arrive. Now they are still aboard and still have to complete the trip once the ship is repaired.
@@nelsonbergman7706 They are still working. And repairs are lengthy. Initially in Baltimore and then probably to a shipyard. The crew will probably be dismissed. Could be reassigned, or held over for its transit to a major ship yard for the heavy repair.
@@nelsonbergman7706 yeah must be real tough not having to do your job every day. Stuck watching movies and playing video games instead of mopping decks and shoveling ice.
The crew has it made. They are in calm waters performing duties related to an idle ship is all. The crew isn't allowed off the vessel because the original schedule called for just a brief container load/unload stop in Baltimore, so the crewmembers didn't have Visas that allowed going ashore. And there is no Customs operation at Seagirt Marine Terminal to clear people coming off ships there. It is quite normal for ships' company to remain on board.
@@jimw1615 I heard a brief news segment and never dug further but if i recall the description seemed to me like they fell or bounced off of something when the boat stopped. Like lost footing or wasn’t braced well enough. I believe it was just a few hour trip
The FBI (who confiscated the crew's cell phones) has the ability to copy all data on a cell phone. So far (Sunday morning May 12) the cell phones have not been returned to the crew. . WHY NOT? Is the FBI so lazy, helpless, or downright mean that they can't return those phones? The FBI, after coping that data is no longer in need of those cell phones which are the crew's only personal link to their families
We're definitely glad they caught the Firestarter 🤬 People have lost their minds. Yes leaving from Norfork was not our intention. I'll be a little rough. However, no one is enduring more suffering than these workers and the families of the fallen heroes. Praying God's strength to all going through pain and suffering 🙏🏽
To be clear, the crew members are NOT "stuck" on the ship. I assume leaving the crew on the ship for the time being) was a decision made. pretty high up in the company,. One would think it would be better to keep the crew on the ship so they can quickly go into action once the bridge parts are moved off of the ship.
It’s gotta be very stressful to not be able to get off that ship like when they’re at Sea. I know that on the three week direct journey to China they have time to hop off and rest and relax, and all the best locations in the depths of the Atlantic ocean
There may be communications (texts & emails) on those phones that relates to the ship's power problems which may point to when and where these problems began.
The crew members (that had a hand in causing this) don't deserve ANY sympathy ! What about sympathy for all the people OUT OF A JOB in the port they used to work at, or the people driving trucks, an hour out of their way, due to the lack of a bridge !!
How is it stressful? Crew was on a multi week trip to the others ide of the world. Pastor needs to explain or WJZ needs to report the full story, not just the approved narrative..
Why would anybody care when these idiots get of the ship or how much "stress" they are under. Actually, the more stress the better as that stress may cause a chilling factor for other incompetent crews leaving dock with an unseaworthy ship.
I think they need to look at alternative methods to accomplish this. In a quest to hurry up and reopen, we are not taking into account the effect on the environment.

I’m pretty sure that the state department did something to allow a few people to go to the hospital in the week after.

I love how she says "seafarers". I've never heard it pronounced that way.
