Awww, thanks so much, that's so sweet! It seems like literally everyone likes the long hauls! Honestly, I don't mind either way, and the only REALLY hard part about doing it all at once is waiting ALL month long to open the boxes as they pile up-- its so hard not to peek! Honestly it's the shelving AFTERWARDS that makes me crazy and that will never change! (Why yes, my special editions ARE in rainbow order, how DID you know???)
Awww, thanks so much, and noted! They do seem to be...uniquely long? Or at least unusually chaotic...there's a reason the camera does NOT show the floor!
Awww, oh my goodness, thank you so much! That lip color took SO LONG to get right, actually, I kept adding different shades and I'm just tickled pink (purple? fuschia?) thank you commented on it! Of course, that ALSO means I can probably never re-create it again...but, uh, I have the dress forever, right??
your video showed up on my recommendations and there's truly a whole different world out here, because the gods below is one of the only ones i recognized 🤣
Oh gosh, that is hilarious! I think I got scared because Andrea Stewart’s most famous book series had the word “bone” in the title of the first one, and I’m such a chicken I ought to be covered I feathers, so she isn’t an author I follow…I looked up the original cover for The Gods Below and that definitely would have sent me running too; I feel like I’ll be reading this one peeking between my fingers! When it comes to the fancy editions I favor romantasy, but I’ll read anything except horror (and I DO mean anything, including historical, nonfiction, whatever catches my fancy- my TBRs can be as chaotic and my hauls)!
Awww, thanks, that's very thoughtful! I love filming the longer ones, and it seems like EVERYONE prefers them! Although, I just realized...only people who made it to the end would hear the plea for a response so my poll is probably kind of skewed, huh? Whoops! Waiting and not peeking is the hardest part really...I just worry that everyone has already seen certain editions already!
I always love your unboxings! I was confused about the missing spoiler card in the owlcrate box too. I found out later that they've gone paperless and there's now a QR code on the box that links to the box information.
@@SoraSoraSora …You know, I DID see that giant code and just totally ignored it…good to know, thanks for the heads up! Also, yay environment and all but I still COMPLETELY hate that decision. OH, and thank you so much for taking so much for the compliment (and just for taking the time to comment), I have SO much fun filming these! 💕
He deserves ALL the love and credit for his skills...and what he has to put up with...okay, fine, and his jokes too! (I totally show him every time someone comments, no way these videos would be the same without his interjections!)
Look at me being sneaky and watching your newest video first even though I have a backlog ... I'll get to them soon, I promise! Halloween is ALSO my favourite holiday and I'm a little sad this month has been so crazy busy for me with starting a new job that I haven't had to time to revel in it much so thank you for doing it for me! (I am DEFINITELY ordering The Nightmare before Kissmas to be my Christmas holiday read for sure) I think you may just need to get the standard copy of a Dark and Secret Magic and then you can swap it for the black dust jacket and use the one they gave you as a print with the orangey forest side?? - i'm watching this in stages so... expect multiple comments-
My backlog is SO horrific, I can't even...honestly, I'm just watching political coverage right now, it's giving me a sense of control when I have...none. I mailed in my ballot, it's LITERALLY our of my hands so I'm doom...it's not scrolling, it's doom watching PBS explain the electoral college and lawyers tell me how bad everything is. On repeat. Send help. Or yourself to watch Howl because that sounds DELIGHTFULLY therapeutic. You can meet the new bird who now lives in our garage and waits to be let out every morning when we get up. (Hi, I'm Snow White.) Less thrilled about the mouse who scared the ever-living CRAP out of me when he got stuck IN OUR WASHING MACHINE. (HOW???? Don't worry, it was BEFORE anything washed.) Nightmare Before Kissmas was a DELIGHT and I giggled my dang way through, that series better be the light fluffy flurry of delicious boy snowflakes (the wintry prince kind, not the dumb american connotation kind) I want (and I have high hopes for Iris, I think she's eyeing another princess). I hope your new job is WONDERFUL, Halloween is WILD with a kid I can hardly keep the events and costumes straight! I haven't even watched a SINGLE halloween movie in the last two years, I miss our old traditions...and sleep. Like, a lot. But I her birthday party is two days after Halloween and SOMEONE has to make the goody bags and make sure the kids all have their ready-to-wear on-theme costumes ready for play maze (oh how I wish I was kidding).
@@Briseisgone Juniper and Thorn is ABSOLUTELY on my TBR, but my sister told me a couple of years ago that I wouldn’t be able to handle The Wolf and The Woodsman because it was too gory. Thoughts? (I ask because you probably know better than she does at this point since she doesn’t watch my videos.)
@@LitCouture honestly I don't think so??? Yeah, there's gory passages but you also read suspenses/thrillers and some fantasy books we have seen these last years have been gory, so no, Run! I loved Wolf and Woodsman. It has everything that makes Ava Reid so brillant.

@@Briseisgone Some of the shipping prices are definitely better, but then I keep finding new boxes from places like Australia and South Africa to make up for it…I’m hopeless! (I don’t think I’m supposed to say any of this but…nooooo filter to be had here in this real-life dystopian cartoon.)
I just thrifted a book haul of 72 books for 12 dollars for my book giveway at work. I have given away over 2500 books for babies kids teens and adults in 9 months. I just dropped video showing the haul . Let's get this generation reading
That's wonderful, I will always encourage more reading! I was an English teacher for a short while, and I hope my daughter will inherit my love for reading (bedtime stories and a big bookcase are hopefully good encouragement).
