Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another unboxing video. Today we're going to give you a little dose of Grundfos and the new Grundfos DDA 60 Smart Digital Dosing Pump. Let's get to it.
Established in 1945, Grundfos is a global leader in advanced pumping technology. Grundfos pumps for water supply and water treatment applications and other processes are available as metering pumps and digital dosing pumps. Grundfos pumps feature the company's own motors and state of the art electronics for pump output regulation based on application requirements. They offer convenience and energy savings for both the environment and your bottom line. Two valves are in the pump, one at the suction inlet side and one at the discharge outlet. This open and close the pump allowing for fluid to move in and out of the diaphragm of the pump. The pump contains one diaphragm that holds the fluid once it's drawn into the pump. It is filled to the desired amount to generate the correct flow rate and then emptied as the discharge stroke occurs. No backing materials needed since the support of the pump is coated in PTFE as well. The volume of fluid being dispensed by the diaphragm can be set and altered by the dial on the face of the pump. The figure shown describes the stroke technology, which this pump, no matter the stroke speed, always operates at 100% stroke length, allowing it to operate efficiently. The suction stroke happens instantly, which allows for easier priming. The discharge stroke is completely controlled, providing better flow control and higher efficiency. Applications of this product include drug manufacturing, food and beverage, municipal water, pH neutralization, chemical mixing, other batch applications. This pump is strong in applications that require high accuracy and repeatability. It acts like a syringe that doses the amount of fluid needed into the system.
