Thank you for watching! If I were to pick out the BEST conditions it would be early morning with no clouds and a touch of fog giving perfect, soft light beams into the forest ☺
I have to say that your 2022 capture is just terrific, not that the current one is a slouch. I've kept my f/mount 14-24 f/2.8 lens also, it's too good to give up.
I think you need another episode showing you crossing a raging river with all of your camera gear. You can keep saying to roll up your pant sleeves too, that works I think. Great video, a lot of work editing!
Probably have to step it up a notch and film myself going over a waterfall to really get the numbers, know what I mean. This is a solid plan for a future episode thank you.
Great to hear thank you! I have another field video I want to share and then I want to start pumping out the processing videos. Thanks for the feedback!
Triple Falls, Errington. Been there. Bit of a sketchy trail down to the falls. Nice video, good tips. To answer your question, I would be interested to see your editing process on a series like this one.
Thank you Brian! After a few wind storms, there are a few fallen trees to climb over but the trail was dry which made the hike down easier. Such a beautiful spot to relax, take photographs and read a book on a hot day. Glad you enjoyed the video and tips, thanks for watching! Cheers.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm thrilled to hear that you find my channel valuable and that the instructions are easy to follow, especially for newcomers. Your encouragement means a lot to me, and I'll definitely keep working hard to provide helpful content. If you have any specific topics or requests, please feel free to let me know. Cheers!
Amazing what a polarizer can do to your shot! The reflection on that one waterfall that disappeared when using a polarizer is AMAZING! Soft Grad filter is pretty cool too.
GREAT GREAT video! Thank you. I know this had to be a lot of work to put this whole video together. Learned a lot and yes a processing video would be awesome.
Fantastic, thank you for watching and sharing your feedback. I would love to pump out some post processing videos. I'm adding it to the list! Have a great day.
Great video as usually Matt. Its good to remind people that you can't always get the greatest light when you do this as a hobby. Sometimes you have to work with what you are given.
So true! Especially during the summer when the days are long. And for photographers who have clients with set schedules and deadlines, they can't always choose when to shoot. It's important to be flexible and work within those constraints to deliver great results.
It is amazing how much the forrest changes in a months time. The images with the better lighting, calmer waterfall and bubble trails are far better IMO. Worth going back to photograph this location at the right time.
I agree, ideally I would only plan trips for the early morning and evening during the best times of the year. It makes a huge difference but it is fun to take on challenge and sometimes you walk away with a winning shot!
Ok it is on the list, the people have spoken 😄! I have another field video and then Its time to share some editing episodes. I appreciate the feedback and encouragement!
Thank you Paul! Yes, the comments are coming in asking for the same thing, It is on the list and I'm going to pump out some processing videos. I've got the first part taken care of showing my steps in the field, now it is time to share the post process 🙂
This was an extremely valuable video! It’s rare when I can pick and choose to go out in perfect light! I’m really glad I found you and I’d love to see your editing techniques! Thanks for taking me along!
So great to hear that this video was extremely valuable! Thank you Randy. I've added post processing to my list of future episodes to publish in the near future. Happy to hear there is an interest. Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback. Have a great day and I'll see you on the next one 😃.
It's true, if you can find used ones that is the way to go. It's nice to see that the new 14-24 for mirrorless has threads for circular filters. Thank you for the compliments to my video and work! Much appreciated thank you. Cheers
Great video, and yes I for one would be interested in a processing video. I'd also be willing to send in some RAW files to see what you can make of them vs. my feeble attempts.
Thank you for the compliments to my video and feedback for future content! I did make a long post processing video a week or so ago. Soon to post more . Thanks for watching! Cheers
Good stuff, and filters are definitely a way to keep shooting when the light isn’t ideal. Thanks for sharing! Random question, what is the bag you pulled your filters out of (at 19:59 approximately) it looks useful. Edit: I’d be interested in a editing video. There is always some tips and tricks to be learned

Pretty cool eh! If I had to pick one filter to use in the field it would probably be a polarizer.
Btw congrats on 5k subs!!
Huge thank you 🙌. I am so pumped! Next stop is 10K 😁🤞

Thank you! Cheers
I have that lens, but I know that the adapter is so expensive, so I’ve never used filters on it. Great video and super image

Amazing 😍
Thank you! Cheers!
Mostly landscape editing in bad light. What filters to use and when ect, ect...
Do you feel you have to have the f2.8 lens for this type of photography?
No, not at all. Hopefully I didn't make it sound like you needed one. 🙂. Thank you for your question.
@@MattShannonPhoto Thanks.
Is bracketing an option?
