I haven't seen this question so I figured I'd ask! Where or how did you get or build the jack and the lights plug on the back of your rig? I just built a customer trailer and wanting to put these details into it.
Thanks for the question. I'll start with the easy one. Lol Might also look at my video of the trailer overview to help explain. Connector that runs from truck to trailer is a simple 2 wire connector. Female end is clamped to bottom of bumper with a small brass clamp I made. See link below for connectors, prices are very reasonable for all of their products: www.modeltrainsoftware.com/collections/wire-switch-more/products/wired-connectors For the jack, it's made from brass, 2-56 threaded rod, one snap ring, a nylock nut and regular 2-56 nut. It could probably be a video on its own, but I'll try to explain. The foot piece has a nut soldered on at the very top, so when the rod is rotated, it moves up and down. The top piece that is attached to the frame of the trailer has a nut soldered at the very top too, but is drilled through to act as a pass through. Threaded rod runs through that and has nylock nut loctited to threaded rod that protrudes through the top, then handle has hexagonal hole, so it fits right onto the nylock nut. Just under the pass through, there is a snap ring to restrict movement of the rod upward when there is weight on the jack. Hopefully that is a good enough explanation, but let me know if it is still unclear
