While I'm more familiar with Schumann's piano music, thank you for introducing me to this aria once again. I just LOVE that vibrato, and the way you just delicately touch those notes! As a blind person, comparing it to a painting or a sculpture isn't applicable so I'm not sure how to describe it. Maybe the way a bagpipe maker makes the various pieces using the lathe and the knife to cut the turning wood, each pass takes off just a thousand of an inch to make it the perfect shape. I guess it's just that subtlety of dynamics that really maikes it sound so fine and delicate, besides just the amazing vibrato. Also, another soprano whose voice I just LOVE who also sings some of Clara Schumann's pieces is Abbey Hutchins! Have you heard of Abbey before? She's got the best vibrato I've heard in the modern world, along with Micaela Rebbs!
